FWIW the Game of the Century was the best atmosphere for any game I have been to ever...and I have been to just about every LSU home game since '91. It wasn't loud maybe, but not a single person sat down for the entire game it felt like. I have never been so drained from watching a game before. It was so tense. AMAZING. If the game would have been in Death Valley, it probably would have been the same. Something like 250-300k people on campus that day; incredible. Will never forget it.

Having said that, I think JHS is the loudest opposing venue I have been to. But I get headaches at DV when it gets loud...have never experienced that anywhere else! College Station doesn't really get loud but they do these cool synchronized motions. I've never seen an entire stadium so in sync. UGA was the prettiest stadium/Campus I've been to. Fans sucked. And the Swamp is WAY overrated. Williams Bryce was a cool stadium...not really loud and cock fans were doing the gator chomp at us ???

I will say I did get a headache from the MSU game where they had the ball with a chance to win inside the 5. Cowbells are loud lol

I think WHERE you sit in a stadium makes all the difference in the world. For example, the 2008 Alabama/LSU game when LSU blocked the field goal at the end of regulation was described as one of the louder moments ever in Tiger Stadium on the TR but from the upper rows of the East side upper deck where I was it wasn't loud at all to me. Granted, the OP's comment about putting Tiger Stadium to shame is laughable because no sane person would argue that TS isn't consistently louder than BDS. The fact that almost all visitors are stuck way up in BFE in the upper deck at BDS means your essentially out of the noise. I was in the LSU section in the north upper deck the first part of the 2011 LSU/Bama game and the noise level up there is non existant compared to the lower bowl.

BDS doesn't get consisterly as loud as a lot of stadiums but every now and then it has its moments when it's every bit as loud as any other stadium (1999 Mississippi State, 2002 Georgia, 2003 Oklahoma, 2005 Florida, 2008 Auburn, 2009 Tennessee)

I remember getting in that stadium and the crowd was ready for blood. Then kickoff happened and it proceeded to be the most boring uneventful 13-0 game of all time

That was the week after Tebow had a concussion against Kentucky. I remember early in the game Florida was backed up in the student section end zone. Felt like Neil Peart was playing the drums on my head. You could feel the pressure the sound made.

Where you sit and the opponent make all the difference. No knock on the Mississippi schools but I've been to a couple of dozen Bama home games against Ole Miss and Mississippi State and only 1 of those games was loud as s### (1999 Mississippi State). That was the one time Bama ended its regular season in a home game against a Mississippi school with the SEC West on the line and the crowd was amazing. The 2005 Bama/Florida game in BDS is the single loudest game I've been to and that includes about a trip to Athens, 3 trips to JHS, a trio to the Swamp, and about a half dozen Bama games in Tiger Stadium. Three of those 4 stadiums are consistently louder than BDS (sorry Georgia) but that game was louder than anything I've experienced in a college football stadium so I know BDS can bring it with the best of them. We just don't do it nearly as consistently as some of the aforementioned stadiums.

I'm afraid if I went into too much detail, I would be harrassed/stalked in person. I can tell you that it's in downtown Birmingham and that I'm playing music.

I went to BDS for a game alabama lost (9-6). Very underwhelming, even though it was a 1v2 matchup that went to OT.

Haha, I also went to a game in Louisiana where with about 8 minutes to go in the game, I could have shot a shotgun into the lsu sideline without hitting a soul.
It was very overwhelming for tiger fans. 21-0.

That doesn't look like it was very loud.
