BDS isn't on the same level of L$U I wouldn't even put it over TN for crowd noise. BTW since when has this whole 100k crowd noise hype been a thing? My god you would think it made all the difference in games..

I'll be there. I'd be pretty shocked if it is louder than the Ole Miss vs LSU game last year.

The crowd doesn't play the game. If that were the case LSU wouldn't have a losing record to Bama at Tiger Stadium.

Bama is used to kicking team's arses so sorry if we don't get that excited about the arse kicking yours received.
I went to the 6 or 7 OT game against Tennessee in 2003. It was still underwhelming.

Neyland was alright (I went in 2011), really the only visiting stadium that has really impressed me was JHS, 2nd to that was probably UGA. I havent been to SC though.
I went to SC in 09 and I was very impressed with their atmosphere. stadium location is meh, but once you're inside it was electric.

I'll be there yelling defense every time the Landsharks take the field!

I went to BDS for a game alabama lost (9-6). Very underwhelming, even though it was a 1v2 matchup that went to OT.
The atmosphere that night was weird. It is usually buzzing, but I think everyone was so tense that it just didn't have the same feel. And no real homerun plays to get the crowd pumped up. But still, one of the best physical games I've ever watched. Even though Bama lost, I was glad to have been there.

Neyland Stadium is so cruddy and uncomfortable. Not even on the same level production wise or seating as us. We have a stadium fit for a king and his royal army.

From Wikipedia:
BDS won't be 110,000 +. I don't think that crowd noise is as much of an advantage as it is made out to be, especially when the opponent doesn't huddle.

Kyle Field's largest game attendance was 110,631 people when Texas A&M lost to the Ole Miss Rebels with the score of 20–35 on October 11, 2014.[5] This was the largest football game attendance in the state of Texas and SEC history.

It is also very wide open. Seats are not that close to the field. We went one year to take my daughter to a game. The band was warming up or playing something before the game, and you couldn't really hear them from the corner of the endzone. Of course I was used to the Sound of the South at Troy and you could hear them 3 counties over when they're playing.

I was there. It definitely gets loud, I've been to Bama, LSU, UGA, Tenn, UF, and USC.
Granted I have been to "big games" at Carolina, and maybe our games aren't considered big to the home team; but LSU was the only stadium that was for sure louder than Columbia; Georgia is good also.

Maybe the fans didn't care, but if so, that sucks, we were a ranked team and you were #1, but Bama was not overly impressive. It felt like a manufactured NFL atmosphere.

That NFL atmosphere must rub off on the team because we have lost three home games in 6 years.

Yea, your team is really good and has been for several years.

Agreed, if crowd noise was such a factor aTm would have a relevant football program....

or maybe your team has just been really good. crowd noise is a very small factor in affecting the winner/loser of a game

Crowd noise can be a factor, but if a team is well-disciplined it's not much of one.
