That's bull shite GA gets paid to play the smaller teams in their state same as everybody else.

I doubt there is a program out there that schedules their opponents just to keep money in the state.

Ummm...care to point out where I said Georgia was not paid to play smaller schools inside the state? I simply said that I don't think it is a factor in making a schedule.

Yea, I don't get that. We play GSU every four years and that's it. Unless someone is paying us to keep kicking Tech's arse. If that's the case then bravo, Georgia, bravo.

They're 2-11 in bowl game since '95. And we're not talking just BCS bowls.

I am guessing going back to the 80's would be the end of Irish bowl winning at the highest levels.

Didn't read thread...but let me get this straight.

He wants to play a team that took Alabama to the last 2 seconds of their lives in a loss. A team that was also a higher scoring offense, a less conservative coach, and a team that hasn't won one in 31 years.

Georgia would've beat them by more than Alabama did just because Mark Richt don't give a shite what the score was. If Nick Saban left his starters in and ran regular play calls....that game would've easily been like....63-0

Only significant one they won in the 90s was a sugar bowl berth against Florida if I remember correctly

FWIW there are tenants in Richtianity that refute that claim. He's a merciful Richt who's bigger on participatory ribbons than smoking teams. He looked like he wanted to cry when UGA put 62 on UK a while back

Brian Kelly couldn't beat Georgia even if they let Les coach the game

Oh, if the Richtator has control over anything it is his followers. It's the fan base as a whole that's fickle. And the fact he has lost control of everything ranging from the NSA surveillance program to global warming just doesn't help.

Neither team has been great since the 80’s?

he calls out UGA, says he'd love to play them, but he can't because he's playing Duke that weekend instead.

This comment is spot on. And Air Force the next, and Navy the next, etc etc

I don't understand his reason for wanting to play Georgia to get that Atlanta area talent, as They play Georgia Tech fairly regular it seems.

It's not at all. This thread's hilarious.

ND-UGA would have been a good game. Richt's not Saban.

UGA would have beaten the ever living frick out of ND. 10 more seconds on the clock and we had bama. You're insane. Richt isn't saban, agreed. But ND wasn't NC material at all. How they beat Stanford is a miracle.

So what? You almost had Bama in 2012, LSU did have Bama in 2011. Look what happened when Saban had five weeks to prepare.

Obviously. Bama was the only team that was.

If you say because ND lost a game by 28 points they weren't NCG material, then I can also think of another team that applies to...

Not really. Good hard-fought game between two really good teams, and the home team won. Not exactly a surprise.

Does ND ever play an SEC team in the regular season?

We played a home and home with them every decade for about 50 years until they ended the tradition in the 2000's
