Without flaming, why would I ever want to geaux to UGA and lose in all sports my entire life and get a subpar degree? UGAY doesnt even offer phd's in my field. If I had wanted to stay in GA after high school I would have gone to Emory. Or GT. UGA isnt qualified as a part of academia or athletics. unless we're talkin gymnastics.

Without flaming? SeriouslY?

Sub-par degree? You DO realize that georgia is considered the third best school in the SEC, right? behind Vanderbilt and Florida? Care to guess where LSU ranks? You REALLY didn't studyup on the merits of academia before you chose LSU, did you? Come on, man. Seriously?

1 Vanderbilt University
2 University of Florida
3 University of Georgia
4 Auburn University
5 University of Alabama
6 University of Tennessee
7 University of South Carolina
8 Louisiana State University
9 University of Arkansas
10 University of Kentucky
11 Mississippi State University
12 University of Mississippi

Now..this was as of 2010...but I seriously doubt LSY zipped all the way up from #8. And since you are such a sports snob, I am sure you care just as much about academics, right? Just think. Now you can run around yelling "We're #8! We're #8!" Of course, this was 2010, so you were #8 out of 12.

And here are the ranking from 2012 according to the Tiger Droppings site:

SEC
1. Vanderbilt (17) (AAU)
2. Texas A&M (58) (AAU)
3. Florida (58) (AAU)
4. Georgia (62)
5. Alabama (75)
6. Auburn (82)
7. Tennessee (101)
8. South Carolina (111)
9. Kentucky (124)
10. Louisiana State (128)
11. Arkansas (132)
12. Mississippi (143)
13. Mississippi State (157)

Looks like LSU dropped to #10. Nice even number, I guess.

I may be wrong, but you really don't go to those type schools for their athletics. Some are very good, but you REALLY go for the education. And i think Marist is red with embarrassment, right now....as is LSU.

Some people do. If you don't know Marist, think of them as the Ole Miss of Metro Atlanta football. Think far more of themselves than they should and go out and recruit (purchase) all the actually good players on the team.

Also, not sure why he is trumpeting their football success. Marist only has 2 state titles in their history, '89 and '03.

I had a buddy that went to Woodward Academy back in their football hey day. I think, if I was going to go to a private school for athletics, Woodward would be my choice. Not sure how good they are in football now, but at one time they were pretty good.

St Pius or Westminster would be the choice for football now.

My son wrestled in High School and we had a tournament at Westminster. Talk about some nice facilities.
