Once Stanford replaced their starting QB (after the Notre Dame game), they were a much better team.

They did have a pretty good defense. Maybe not on Alabama's level but very few have been lately. They shut down Oregon for the most part in their own house.

Now that that's settled, good day.

That's why I said the last few years. Was thinking back to when you lost to WVU.

I forgot about Boise State in the OOC honestly. Either way, I just find it funny that he wouldn't want a rematch with Alabama.

Ellerbammer doesn't give him an inroad into recruiting the south, he's gotta do that through Georgia or Florida.

Fairly astute on Kelly's part, IMO.

Wants a neutral site game and the Superdome can't keep the lights on?

Funny, UGA actually approached ND about playing a home-and-home a few years ago, but ND didn't want to play us. UGA also asked Michigan, PSU, and OSU. OSU ended up canceling a planned series with us.

LSU and Notre Dame had regular season series from the 70's through the 90's.

Date Opponent (record) Result Score Site
1/3/2007 vs. Notre Dame (10-3) W 41 14 @ New Orleans, LA Sugar Bowl
11/21/1998 @ Notre Dame (9-3) L 36 39
11/15/1997 vs. Notre Dame (7-6) L 6 24
12/28/1997 vs. Notre Dame (7-6) W 27 9 @ Shreveport, LA Independence Bowl
11/22/1986 vs. Notre Dame (5-6) W 21 19
11/23/1985 @ Notre Dame (5-6) W 10 7
10/27/1984 vs. Notre Dame (7-5) L 22 30
9/12/1981 @ Notre Dame (5-6) L 9 27
11/20/1971 vs. Notre Dame (8-2) W 28 8
11/21/1970 @ Notre Dame (10-1) L 0 3

Series record: 5-5.

When LSU approached ND in the early 2000s for renewing the series, ND informed LSU that they wanted to go in a different direction - and then LSU proceeded to kick their arse 41-14 in the 2007 Sugar Bowl.

frick those mutherfrickers.

I think it's because he wants to spread the faith to the SEC. Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee, and South Carolina are all Bottom 10 in terms of percentage of Catholics.

If anything they should start playing A&M again, we have more Catholic students at A&M (Aggie Catholics is the largest student org with 12,500 members) than there are at ND.

Isn't Florida the most liberal school? Wouldn't that imply a higher percentage of non believers? Figured every person to ever live in Arkansas believes in God.

Yeah he's saying that while secretly hoping he never has to play another SEC team. Ever. That beatdown Bama put on his team in January was hard to watch as a neutral fan. I can't imagine how bad it was for him, his players, ND fans, and SEC haters.

Doeshh thishh answer your queshhtion?

Isn't Georgia in the top 3 of most fulmer cup appearances? Doubt that one.

I would have loved for the country to have seen the best 2 LBs in the college last year and Te'o is not one of them!

My guess would be that he would have a shot of getting a return trip from UGA back to South Bend. UF wouldn't go as far as Valdosta for an out of conference matchup.
