Serious question was Bert this much of a pussy at Wisconsin or just when he got to a real league where he can't win?

Did you think that made sense when you posted it?

HUNH makes games last longer. The longer a game is, the more ad time (both commercial break time and in-game ads) the network can sell. Thus, it seems like Bert is wrong. And fat. Both fat and wrong.

He whined about everything in the Big 10. His panties got in a big wad about Meyer as well

“I can tell you this,” says Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema. “We at the Big Ten don’t want to be like the SEC—in any way, shape or form.”

HUNH and the spread, or any style that isn't pro style, are two different things. Malzahn even says the same thing. You can run a HUNH out of a pro style. Hurry up does not mean spread. The spread is not preparing players for the NFL and a pro style offense. If you never take a snap under center does not prepare you to take snaps under center like you must in the NFL. Using Greg Robinson as an example is an exception.

This is why I can't bear to watch the NFL any more. Especially Sunday/Monday night games. They seem to drag on forever with the commercial breaks. Sometimes the Saturday games on CBS seem to flow like an NFL game, I hate that shite.

Pay more attention then.

NFL games last 3 hours. Almost on the dot, every time. Noon games end just minutes after 3.

College games? 4 hours is more of the norm now. CBS games are worse.

The NFL was able to streamline everything. They understood that after a kickoff, it took the refs and teams about 20 seconds to get ready before the play clock would start. So, why not add a commercial there, and make the official timeouts slightly shorter?

If there's one thing TV execs hate it's stoppages in play and a chance to run more commercials, man all the HUNH offenses and the TDs, its like "who wants to run that many Ads, its annoying to make that much money it just piles up and gets everywhere."

TV executives want more ratings. Like it or not, the average viewer wants to see points.

He's an idiot because he is pushing for change on what we see as a theory, but he is pushing it as fact more than anything. He has had time to gather evidence but has none.

Sickle Cell is lame and disingenuous on his part, because those problems exist during camps and training.

Bert is just being dishonest, and trying to gain an advantage through rule changes based on false pretenses.

That's why he's an idiot.

He probably found a friend with the TV angle.

The HUNH will likely die off soon regardless, it's about time the fad ends. It always does in this sport and the arena league coaches will be scrambling for gigs.

This attitude worked out really well for Will Muschamp.

I've honestly never liked no huddle. UF has actually done well against those teams, but just never like it. Seems like it creates an unfair advantage to one side of the ball. Like playing chess and someone white gets to move their king two spots, not one because they are white or some crap. I like the NFL better in terms of strategy because they huddle and bring in formation to match formation and it's more fun for me to watch. Don't know why. Maybe I just don't like change...who knows
