Your comment has zip to do with the OP but thanks for your opinion.
As far as his comments, it's arbitrary until we see enough evidence. I think we all know money is the driver in the current football landscape and it's smart to think the networks would like the game clocks to run and that can't happen in a HUNH like it does in a more slower paced offense. Whatever the networks can do to shoehorn in another 6 minutes of ad space per game they'll jump on it.

Games last less than 3 hours?
Haven't seen that in years.
The LSU Arkansas game last year finished in an hour and a half (just kidding). 119 total plays. 70 of them rushing attempts. It went quick, though.

HUNH makes games last longer. The longer a game is, the more ad time (both commercial break time and in-game ads) the network can sell. Thus, it seems like Bert is wrong. And fat. Both fat and wrong.

Arkansas fans, is Bert the type that always finds something to whine about? After losing to us last season, Bert was in a huff about some violation of handshake etiquette. Is he always like that?

It was at Arkansas. Good try, though, I guess.

Tell Saban and Bert to adapt.

Its television that has slowed the game down to a crawl. I no longer listen to the television broadcast, can't stand the damn commercials.

Earth to Meekus, you were, saying LSU fans left at half time LIKE YOU DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS A JOKE.

Well, considering the Russillo and Kanell played Bert's recorded comments...I'm going with a) Bert's an idiot...because I didn't hear it wrong.
I'm sure someone can pull a recording of today's show.

There will always be rules to allow certain teams/programs to compete with the big-dogs.
* You can't block someone man on man = Go for the knees, especially downfield
- If college kids made millions like NFL players
- Sure, go for it, but they don't....
* Don't have the depth other teams have = Keep the play going to stop other teams from subbing
- We do have rules already limiting 85 players. How many more equality rules, protection, do some programs need?
Can't blame the coaches for doing these things. Some of the unfortunates will always try to find an edge. Whether it's just or not. Shame the rules that get made aren't always for the benefit of the game itself though.
More money from commercials
-vs-
More fan interest across-the-board
(Higher scoring games)
Should be a good fight.....
Next thing you know, they'll be letting receivers mug defenders without any accountability....lol

TV executives would LOVE a 1.5 hour game.
They would fill the excess time with commercials.
The red hat guy would stay on the field longer than the teams.

Russillo and Kanell both said that they completely disagree with Bret's viewpoints on the HUNH

Can I hear some legit responses why some of you are saying he's an idiot for what he said?
So far, he's not the idiot re: the theory, you guys are for not seeing the big picture.
