But it does. You've said that about Tennessee and Villanova in this thread. UT has three top 100 non-conference wins. So clearly they won some of those games and that's helping them out right now. They've also beaten Florida and Missouri recently. Again, "big" games that they won. They wouldn't be in just for playing and losing them. Same with Villanova, they wouldn't be in if they had lost those games with Louisville, Syracuse, and Georgetown. You are just so off base on the one point you continue to repeat.

And no true ole miss fan believes they will get in,..... It will never happen.... Even if we win the SECT I think we don't make it
I think there is an official caveat that if the winner of the SECT is ole miss than then winner is awarded the number one overall seed in the NIT.

To be safe in a BCS conference, you have to be in the top 50 RPI wise. Teams with less than 50 get in, but 3 teams max the last two years get in with an RPI greater than 50. This is why Tennessee has to win two in the SECT to seal a bid. RPI would be in the mid 40s at that point.

Also, IF Tennessee wins on Thursday and again on Friday, they will most likely or hopefully play Florida in the Semis. A loss there would not be that bad because of Florida's RPI. In other words, it would not be viewed as a bad loss.

The name of the game is amassing quality wins and avoiding bad losses. Tennessee, to this point, has done both of those things better than Ole Miss.

Haith interview on St. Louis radio moments ago, lobbying for the entire SEC. Claimed SEC has 9 teams in the top 100 RPI, only conference better is the Big East with 11. SEC deserves more respect than it gets. Also said future is bright for the SEC because so many of the teams are young.

If Haith really cares, he'll let Ole Miss beat them in the tournament. Otherwise, he's just politicking.

Of course he's politicking. What he failed to mention is that conferences like the Big 10, A10 and Pac12 have a majority of those teams in the top 50 whereas the SEC is backended with a majority of those teams coming in between 51 and 100.

What are you talking about? I have never seen a Tennessee fan act like we should be seeded higher than UF in the dance just because we have owned you for the last 8-9 years.

How have you owned us, I thought h2h "didn't really matter?"
