I'd say the odds of Alabama getting an at large at this point is roughly equivalent to the odds of winning the SEC tournament.

If we don't win a couple of games and make the final game, we're out (and even then, still may well be out). If we do win a couple of games, that means we will have knocked out Florida and have a good chance to win the championship game anyway.

In early December, not that h2h really matters that much. As I said, Tennessee was AHEAD of UVA before the games this weekend. Tennessee gets a much better win than UVA and UVA passes us?

I'll remember this the next time y'all talk about Tennessee "owning" us in basketball.

Perhaps if there is only one spot left, and it's between UVA and UT they'd take a look at the head to head result.

Isn't that pretty much the entire premise of this whole bubble scenario? Ole Miss beat TN twice and has 4 win advantage on the year. Don't argue with me. IDGAF.

No. If there are five spots and they're comparing seven teams, they aren't looking to see if any of those teams beat each other because you could probably do that with bubble teams until the end of time. They're going to take the best five resumes. If UT has one of those and Ole Miss doesn't (shich UT does have a better resume IMO), then UT will get in. They won't go back after the fact and say, "well Ole Miss beat UT twice so let's put them in instead."

I mean, Alabama beat the frick out of Villanova on a neutral court. However, Villanova will probably be in and Alabama won't. Rightfully so too. All bubble teams aren't created equal, and just because one beat the other doesn't mean they should get in.

A team shouldn't receive an advantage for playing a tough OOC schedule if they lose every tough game.

That's the stupidest thing about college basketball. Hell, a team could play the top 10 teams, lose to them all, have a 17-13 record, and get in over a 24 win team that didn't play those tough games. It's like getting a trophy just for trying.

Absolute bullshite. I ain't mad though. I'm just sayin'

My biggest problem with college basketball is the shot clock. Way too damn long.

Yep. Also two halves is so stupid. Go to quarters like EVERY OTHER LEVEL OF BASKETBALL.

Villanova has beaten some top 5 teams this year. Not that it matters. All that matters is that you schedule them.

Vols need at least 1 win. Two wins seal a bid for sure.

How many OOC?

ETA: all this aside, TN is #54 RPI and Ole Miss is #56 with 4 more wins and 2 head-to-head victories.
