Iowa

All SEC games have been bowl games except against Tennessee @ neutral site in 1987.

Good site for researching these games:

Michigan State was IND then, did not join the B1G till 1953 season I think?

Still sorting through OldPete list, still to confirm:
Maryland in '52
TCU in '55/'56/'74/'75
California in '73
Baylor in '79
Rutgers in '80/'81
Notre Dame in '80/'86

Sorry, I screwed up and listed the Rutgers '80 game as home, when it was away...the '81 game was played in Tuscaloosa though...

I used the College Football Data Warehouse as my source: LINK

UGA probably does need to visit TX, but what about JerryWorld instead of Waco. Hear tell Waco makes StarkVegas look like real Vegas.

Vitek's gutpack and sailgating is all the excitement I need. I prefer home and home to neutral crap

True...but do Birmingham games count? I'm guessing that's a neutral site but good point, it was a regular season game.

So the next time the screaming meemies from the Big X are howling that SEC teams won't come north and play in their snow bowls, we can tell them to go to hell. After all, 10 of their members have never played in SEC stadia.

With the history I am thinking of allowing it as an exception as long as it was before 2004 and played during the season. I allowed Little Rock for Arkansas and still allow it to current history just based on history.

I might make a * tho, still have not decided.

Part of the reason I did this post was to bookmark for when schools from elsewhere talk smack. It started as I knew Stanford, but wanted to build out the rest. Bonus is we get more football stuff and less trolling.

If you're lookin' for the most recent, I think it might be Auburn hosting Maryland in '83...

Good idea.

Arkansas has played Stanford but it was before we joined the SEC. It was in 1970 when they had Jim Plunkett giving us 'the business'.

Exactly why I wanted this as Stanford claims several SEC wins that were not SEC wins at all. Course hard to take the PAC seriously when they claim all their PCC wins! For those who are young, the entire conference was disbanded for cheating in the 1950's so no wins during the PCC era should count.
