Wait, wait, wait...
Texas A&M, who barely beat Alabama, lost to Florida and LSU...

Completely MONKEYSPANKS Oklahoma...

And our conference sucks? ;p

The 90's are the only point in OU's history that you can point to and say they were mediocre. The fact is, OU is and has been one of the most consistently successful programs in the country. Alabama and Oklahoma are similar in that way.

I wonder if ole Big Game Bob deep down is wondering if clinging to the sips teet was the right move. They historically have been able to reel in the second best haul of Texas recruits most years. Now it appears that aTm will be in that position most years going forward. If he isn't wondering it, I'm sure that are several Sooner booster and fans that are.

By the way, Ole Big Game better worry about winning a meaningful game a some point in the future instead of worrying about the SEC's status in college football.

Hmm so the articles main evidence is that 3rd in the Big 12 Texas smashed 9th in the SEC Ole Miss by 30+.

And since OU dick slapped Texas by 42 by the transitive property they are better than Ole Miss by maybe 70 which means the SEC is overrated!

But then 5th in the SEC A&M beat Big 12 co champ OU by 28 and only beat Ole Miss by 3.

What does it all mean!?!?

So the SEC has won every Natty since you've hit puberty. Makes sense.

The 90's were 13+ years ago, and Bob Stoops' name is in the title. I think those years have nothing to do with the present. But yeah, we were so far on the verge of disapearance in the 1990's that we won a championship in 2000.

No, but it shows that even a program like Oklahoma can take a crappy coach and still recruit players that are capable of winning a natty, and then not know how to use them. Stoops won with Blake's players.

Well my uncle is 59. He was a two time all-American for your Sooners, blocked for a Heisman Trophy Winner, and won back to back national titles(ironically because A&M choked against Arky, but that is another story). He is deeply tied to your program. Even after actually being a part of Oklahoma's greatness, he will be one of the first to tell you OU isn't entitled to it, that it was earned. He was pissed about the Cotton Bowl, and was pissed that Oklahoma couldn't even come close to competing with a top 10 A&M team. I think I would value his opinion on if people actually cared about the Cotton Bowl. He has produced hardware for Oklahoma. I'm assuming your daddy writes a check.

I agree with everything you said.

It seems our main competitor in recruiting is now A&M over Texas. A&M fans know this, and it's why they're so touchy whenever OU gets brought up in conference expansion. They know that if we joined the SEC, they'd get their teeth kicked in by us once again.

How about we start with the gap where your conference co-champs got rolled by an SEC team that finished 3rd in it's division?

That work for you Bob?

Yes. Sooner and gump arrogance is incredibly similar. That has to do with great hires at coaching, and a little bit of luck, not because of the name on the jersey. Switzer was a bootlegger's son and recruited black players before just about everyone. Had Switzer gone to tu, or Arkansas, or a bunch of other places, your history would be different. Don't take your success for granted. I get that your'e 19, probably grew up a tu fan or something, but greatness is earned... and Oklahoma hasn't done much to earn it the last decade.

Before the start of the Big 12, A&M had an all time winning record against you. In fact one of the worse losses suffered at Owen Field was at the hand of the Aggies in 97. 51-0 in the third quarter and we called off the dogs. Again. College Football didn't start when Stoops arrived in Norman. You had better coaches than us the last decade, and that changes so quickly, and so do results. Y'all got rocked by us this year. Absolutely rocked. I don't know why I'm arguing with a 19 year old.

Programs aren't defined by one decade, or one game for that matter. I understand that as an Aggie fan without much history to speak of that you can only hope that your future is brighter than your past.

So are you saying that you think it was a huge mistake not coming with aTm to the SEC, and that OU will suffer in the future because of it? Are most OU fans starting to think along this line?

I think we need out of the Big 12. I personally would rather go to the B1G first. But anything would be better than staying put. Yes, most fans feel this way
