You played inferior teams because you played in inferior bowls. While we were playing for the championship, your teams were going 6-6

Folks, this is the "double whammy".

Not only did you not get the point (the fact that A&M never lost to an inferior opponent), but clearly missed the fact that OKLAHOMA has played inferior competition in bowls more often than not.

Let me spell it out for Mr. Mensa again in terms of bowl opponents:

2012: A&M > Oklahoma
2011: Northwestern = Iowa
2010: LSU > UConn
2009: Stanford > Georgia
2008: Florida > no bowl
2007: West Virginia > Penn State
2006: California > Boise State
2005: Oregon > No bowl
2004: USC > Tennessee
2003: LSU > No bowl

The reason that Oklahoma has a better bowl record over the last 10 years is because they played lesser competition than A&M did

A&M has never lost a bowl game to an inferior opponent.

The only times in the last 25 years that A&M played an inferior opponent were 2012 (Oklahoma), 2011 (Northwestern), 2001 (TCU), and 1995 (Michigan). - ALL WINS

In contrast, Oklahoma played an inferior opponent in 2011 (Iowa), 2010 (UConn), 2009 (Stanford), 2007 (West Virginia), 2006 (Boise State), and 2005 (Oregon) in the last 10 years alone. That's more inferior bowl opponents in the last 10 years than A&M faced in the last 25. Not only that, but they lost two of those games.

In every other bowl, A&M played a far better team.

The OKC and Lawton area is NICE. Don't care for Tulsa. When I think of "bad" states I look at the crime, income, poverty, etc. Oklahoma is not a bad place to raise a family. Then add in Dallas/Ft Worth is not far away.

I lived in Altus and worked in Granite at the prison. I drove through OKC, which is decent. Lawton, on the other hand, looked like a massive slum. Seriously, all my friends who were natives advised from going to Lawton for anything. Even the prison inmates thought the area was bad news.

I recommend adding quotes in your replies; otherwise, there is no way for us to know who you're not talking to ;p

I think we are a better fit culturally

No. You aren't. Take my word for it.

Also, the schools are better.

Perhaps, but OU isn't. I don't know where so many Sooner fans have gotten the notion that they'd be an academic fit in the B1G. The idea is fricking preposterous.

Look. If OU wants to become a perennial also-ran, they'll go cower away in the B1G or PAC. If they want to play in some (potentially) historic games and pull their program back from the brink of irrelevance, they'll go to the SEC. It's that simple.
