Didn't see it mentioned anywhere where a Mizzou team that won 18 games between 2010 and 2011 while playing in the Big 12, won 5 games total and was 2-6 in SEC play in their first year in the SEC.

41-13 didn't sort this out?

You think Oklahoma gives a shite about the Cotton Bowl? That trophy would've been thrown in the dumpster behind our football facility.

Yes. I think they would have rather won then get embarrassed. I'm definitely sure their coaches on the recruiting trial right now wish they won.

Doesn't fit in to their narrative. Big 12 Champions getting steam rolled by the Aggies is something they don't want to acknowledge happening. Truth is... in Bob Stoops last 4 games, count em, 4 games against the SEC, he hasn't scored more than 14 point. Granted, he did win one of those games, but it was against Arkansas, and is Arkansas even really SEC worthy?

*4 bowl games.

I love that little excuse.

Even better are the "well, it's really only Alabama winning" people.

UGA probably would have beaten notre dame WORSE had they beaten the Tide in ATL. And they damn near did.

And it's been that way for most of the entire run....when UF started it off in 2006, at the end of the season everyone was saying that possibly LSU was even better than UF. When LSU won in '07, everyone said that UGA was probably the better team.

In '08 UF won again, but their SECCG with Bama was called the "national championship game before the national championship game"....the next yr. in '09 they did it again. In 2011 there actually WERE two SEC teams that played for the whole thing...

Everything in sports is cyclical. Our down years are when we go 10-3. Oh well

I think Ole Miss losing last year to the sips has kind of fueled this line of thinking in the Big 12 or 10 or whatever. The Bears orta be ashamed of themselves. If they would've beat the sips like they should've, I think it would've quited the Big whatevers up a little bit. They had better take care of business this year.

Or the entire 1990s when your program was on the verge of disspareance? How old are you?

You seem to have forgotten the years between Switzer and Stoops.

Typically over the years the other conferences have at best 2 teams that contend for the MNC....when it was the Big 8 it used to be Oklahoma and Nebraska. Nowadays it's Oklahoma and Texas most years. The Big 10 always had Ohio State and Michigan. Pac-12 had SoCal and....who else consistently? UCLA?? Nowadays it's been Oregon??

Usually once you got beyond those consistent few, the rest of the conferences were a motley mix of 7-8 win teams or worse. A team that consistently is contending for top 25 rankings - much less for national titles - SHOULD go 10-3 against that kind of competition...

The SEC has won 7 straight BCS titles and 8 over the past 10 years. Four (4) different SEC members won them. Many of those years there were 2nd and even 3rd teams in the SEC that had serious chances of contending...

Or a couple of 8-5 years in the Stoops era.

I'm 19. And current recruits are 16-18.

The 90's were 13+ years ago, and Bob Stoops' name is in the title. I think those years have nothing to do with the present. But yeah, we were so far on the verge of disapearance in the 1990's that we won a championship in 2000.

One time. When our Heisman winning QB was hurt in the opening game.

Rebs hadn't hit their stride. They were a different team at the end of the season. This year, no such excuses exist.

I think they beat the ever living shite outta those steers.

You really need some perspective. You obviously don't know how far gone Oklahoma was before Bob Stoops was hired in Decemeber of 1998.

I think Ole Miss could of been the 7th SEC that could of beaten ND by the end of the year.
