...says the guy claiming to be "big brother" on a thread about "little brother" on a website that has absolutely ZERO relevance to the Big Twatever.

Yep. We're "little brother."

auburn has won a NC title in the past decade even though they paid someone to do it. A&M on the other hand hasn't won anything in the last decade or more.

1. Alabama is a much bigger "big brother" than UTex is....after this season, Alabama could have almost as many NC's in the last 4 years as UTex has ALL TIME

2. If Alabama went to the ACC or Big 12 while Auburn stayed in the SEC, I think they'd see it as narrowing the gap, if not evening the playing field completely. Why is it unreasonable for Aggies to feel this way?

Basically

Move UTex to the SEC and give them 15 more NC's and you have the gap that exists between Auburn and Bama

Between A&M and UTex, the gap is either small or non existent depending on who you talk to.

Is 4-5 NC's better than 1 real NC, in 1939? Sure it is.

But UF had 0 NC's until 1996, which is less than the ACC's FSU. Does anyone think FSU is "big brother"?

Yes, but in football only. Texas, as much as I dislike it, is one of the best all around schools in the country. Being Texas AD, football coach or President/provost whatever, would all be elite jobs. Same can't be said for Alabama.

I know we care mostly about football, but I think it does play into the overall psyche of the in state relationships.

Your postion is moot in this thread.

All-time record:

University of Texas Longhorns - 76 wins
Texas A&M Aggies - 37 wins

So advantage Aggy?

How old are you? The record is even over the last 35 or so years.

Texas did roll it up post WWII when A&M was all male, all military, and Texas had 3 times the scholarship players though. Congrats.

Yes, because just as beaten wives refuse to leave their oppressors, so too has TAMU refused to divorce the horns.

(Yes, I know my post can be read as an admission to being Texas's subordinate. We've even the playing field the the move.)
