I thought they had another one pre war and the 3rd and final with Dodds before the Bear meltdown.

Tulane looks about right but not sure if either of those years was the one they declined the Rose Bowl bid. May look it up later, but may not.

Vandy was kick arse, but that was in the SIAA and SoCon days so do not count for SEC.

I remember when Tulane and Georgia Tech were still in the SEC and they still talked about "The Six" and heard it want all the way back to the early days of the SEC.

um, yeah

BUT, back then, the "big 6" were:

Alabama
Tennessee
GA Tech
Georgia
Auburn
Ole Miss

Outright Title, is what I said, OUTRIGHT TITLE.

Kentucky shared with Georgia in 1976. So, No, Kentucky is not a member

I think they did, but I only listed the first nine seasons worth of SEC titles because that's how many years it took for six different teams to win one.

LSU's recent past also includes a 2011 SEC Champion that was better than any team in Auburn's history. And by a pretty big margin.

Um no

The pain within you goes deep!

You forgot to mention the Vol title from 50' or 51' you piggybacked after Kentucky beat Oklahoma with the Bear. Surprised you did not go with the Bama Bear and UK Bear double play.

Gee, I wonder who you could be talking about, dickhead? I'm sorry LSU hasn't been undefeated since the 50's and has a ridiculous 2-loss MNC in the recent past.

I don't think he is talking about Auburn, since you are already in the Big 6.

nice one!

i was always under the impression the current big 6 was 1992, thanks for clearing that up.

i knew it wasn't from the 60s or 70s. that was the bear bryant era more or less. there was a big 1.

Charlie Pell, got the Gators on the map so Spurrier could take them home but got busted and forgotten in the process.

So winning the conference was the original criteria.

Not the bullshite added by the Big 6 like layers of doctrine at a theological seminary. Uh-huh.

The Big 6 WILL be cracked this decade.

Pell doesn't get the credit he deserves for getting the Gator booster clubs going. That was the foundation for the success that came later with Hall, Spurrier, and Meyer.
