Tier 2 is too large. I think there is a divide (albeit not really illustrated using your metric) between UF and Arkansas.

I'm aware. Then why should those 10 win seasons count if they were prior to the SEC?

The thing that makes Arky and A&M rise on this list is their number of SWC titles. I don't really know how that relates to SEC titles and if it should be a 1 to 1, worth more, worth less, I don't know.

Using only AP titles = invalid

I mean, they don't have to I don't guess. There weren't many of them anyway unless a team went undefeated and happened to play a bowl. Alabama had 2 10 win seasons before 1933 and only because they played in and won the Rose Bowl (plus all their other games).

Agreed. Alabama gets 6 more.

Cfbdatawarehouse already does this, and their points system isn't nearly as gay. Plus you can search by decade, quarter century, etc. much better source of info.

Isn't nearly as happy or isn't nearly as excited by having sex with other people of the same sex?
Let me guess, it ranks LSU higher?

To be honest with you, I have no clue. I haven't looked at it this year. I just clicked on the link, clicked 100 years and copy and pasted. It will probably be close to the same, but they add in other metrics to the ranking system.

Yea, I just quickly assigned values. Clearly isn't end all be all.
I tried to hit your link but for some reason CFBDATAWAREHOUSE is treated as malware. I used to love that site, haven't been to it in forever.

That's a fair point and I don't really have an answer either. I just think it's unfair to say UF is relatively equal of program to Arkansas and A&M. I think present status holds more of an influence going forward than what occurred 30 years ago, and I think this metric system fails to account for that. UF is much more of a threat to win the SEC and National Championship for the forseeable future and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Well, I agree, and if you wanted a more "present day" metric you would probably cut it off at 25-30 years or assign higher values to the last 10 years or something like that.
This was just historical look back, not predictive for the future or even present.

Well damn. That's weird. I'll try to go copy and paste and see how it ranks compared to yours.

CFB Warehouse puts LSU at #2
Any LSU fan saying they "honestly don't know that" are more full of shite than my large colon
Edit: I do like CFB warehouse except that part

aTm and Ark have tons of Non-SEC points. Aubrn really 6th in SEC terms. Also bogus not to count BCS titles won on the field when. For that matter, any UPI titles/Coaches titles should also count as much as AP if the AP went with someone else. Other than that, nice effort.

For what time frame are you looking at? And I had zero idea what it had LSU ranked. I haven't looked at it in a while, and not at the rankings when I did. For some reason on my phone it is loading and freezing halfway....just before it puts up the teams. Not sure if it is reception or due to something else such as what was said earlier with it being malware....which is exactly why I haven't copied and pasted as I said I would. But go figure you would like it except for the fact that it doesn't have TN 2.

If we're gonna count more recent history...that does make Less "Bert's biatch"...correct?
