What is the argument for Freeze being close to Gus as an offensive coach?

I'd like to know this as well. It seems like most people are saying it because they don't like AU or Gus or both. I Hate Saban, not crazy bout bama either but, I can't deny he's the best.

Don't get me started. That's was who I wanted but TBH, I think AU made a good decision with Gus. I'm gonna wait and see how the program looks in 2 years before I say we made the better choice.

It's obvious to me that Gus was the right choice for Auburn because I believe he really loves it there.

Freeze is a substantially better coach. It's not close, at all.

These people are serious? I thought only Ole Miss fans were indoctrinated in this shite. I don't have any animosity toward Ole Miss, but I'm going to enjoy their return to mediocrity just so these people will feel stupid.

Hugh frickin' Freeze? Ok.

I never even considered reading through 8 pages of Auburn fans trying to turn this into their wishful believe that we're obsessed with Gus, but I'll still give my opinion. Or, I would if I had one, but I haven't seen enough of Freeze to know. I lean toward Malzahn, although Freeze did win more games at ASU and probably did a more remarkable job there. Neither of them are geniuses, though.

Don't kno why this has gone on for 8 pages, but for the record, Gus took over Freeze's Arkansas state team.

Auburn fans blew up the first page as if Freeze isn't an Arkansas coach either, or yet a more experienced Arkansas coach.

Honestly, no one should even respect, value, or care about your opinion. That goes for Ole Miss AND Arkansas...

I mean, really...WHO THE frick ARE YOU COMPARED TO AUBURN?!?! You can put your 2 shite programs history together and you won't be half of what Auburn is. Ole Miss always has a spark every 9-10 years or so....Arkansas may win the SEC West on some tiebreaking technical bullshite, go to Atlanta and their shite pushed in...

You sound stupid. As frick. Like, country-arse-freshman-girl-first-time-drunk-in-a-frathouse stupid.

Auburn

Arkansas

Ole Miss

In that order.

Beelumuh didn't invent the wheel at Wisky, just played off what Alvarez already had built. Not as successful, either.

Whoa now, calm down dude.

Now to answer the question. I don't have an answer for you yet. Both are great offensive coaches, that's really all we can say at the moment. With that said though, I think Malzahn would do significantly worse at Ole Miss than Freeze, and that has nothing to do with his coaching ability. Freeze is just a perfect fit for the job.

Also, I believe it's important to say that Hugh Freeze made Arkansas State. Gus Malzahn took over a really good team and they remained a really good team, but Hugh Freeze took over a really bad team and made them into a really good team.
