I don't think any team should take a RB or WR with the #1 pick, but we're talking about the Raiders so....

I was just thinking that they've gone D the last 2 years in the 1st and those are the 2 positions they need the most right now. Their 2nd rd pick from last year Derek Carr is doing alright, just needs some weapons

Then again you are right and there's always names that creep up closer to draft time like OL and such that could sneak into the convo

I've never seen 3 wide receivers as physically talented in one game as the 3 I saw Saturday night.

Coates and Duke Williams are insane. Duke Williams catches anything within a 5 foot radius of his chest. It's unbelievable. And Coates physical tools are just freakish.

Feel like we're gonna look back on this game in a few years and be like "yea, that score makes sense" with all the offensive skill position studs on the field.

Uh, Duke dropped a wide open TD alone in the end zone.

And Coop dropped 3 balls in the previous 3 weeks. It happens to the best of them.

Not to mention Duke's ball wasn't exactly a straightforward drop. He was trying to get his feet figured out as he flagged to the corner of the endzone. Should have caught it, but you can see how he was thinking about 2-3 things as he was trying to pull it in.

Both of them are different types as OP pointed out. They're both outstanding. If I was an NFL fan, I'd be stoked if my team got either one of them. Hard to not argue for Duke being best but I can't help but wonder if Coop's success is that much better because of a first year QB. So, for now, I have to say tie.

Yeah that would have been a lot harder catch than Mussberger/Palmer gave it credit for.

Firstly, Cooper-Williams-White-Coates are likely hands down the best group of WR's ever in one Iron Bowl. Wow, what a treat to watch these guys gut it out last Saturday. . I think Cooper and Duke should be off the board by pick #15 and both are about equal in talent. I give Duke the edge based on the thought that he may be able take the punishment of NFL play better than Amari.

Cooper is the more polished receiver, but Duke has great physical abilities, size, and talent that can't be taught. Both should have excellent careers, but Duke has the higher ceiling. As of the present moment though, Cooper is a better overall player.

2 different WRs. I have no doubt that Cooper will have a long successful career in the NFL, but Duke's potential is on a whole other level. If he can avoid injury, Duke will be a perennial pro-bowler.

Cooper is more polished, Duke will be on more highlight reels.

Cooper right now, but I think Williams might have the higher NFL ceiling. Who knows with Coates, he's so streaky. Regardless, hopefully at least one of the two come back next year.

I gotta go with Williams. In a year when he, landry, and OBJ were seniors in HS, Williams was the best of the 3. He has their hands with elite size.

That said, OBJ is better than both.

Not disagreeing there.

Can't wait for Odell Beckham III to come to LSU. Both of OBJ's parents were super stars in FB(dad) had track(mom) for us.

The way Cooper plays reminds me of Antonio Brown for some reason.

This thread is perhaps the best discussion of football skills I have seen on the rant.

Coates has issues catching the hard thrown balls. Example was the throw in the front end of the endzone Saturday night. That is a Pro pass that he hasn't made all year.

Duke lacks the top end speed, but has the hands and body frame.

Cooper has the speed, but has not shown an ability to catch the ball in traffic.

Cooper will be a first round draft pick, Duke will be early second and Coates will be late second or early third. There will be a lot of good WRs in this years draft.
