Just think if Les didn't constantly pull top 5 classes. He'd be bagging groceries. Hell he cant win WITH them.

First off he doesn't, and even if he did its because of his doing. So why is this a knock on him?

Can't win with them? LSU could lose the next 3 games and he still averages 10 wins a year. Give me a fricking break.

It's also well known the binders of notes Saban left Miles about individual players strength weaknesses etc. Miles also retained some of Saban's staff most notably Jimbo Fisher and Tommy Moffitt. If you don't believe the huge roster advantage LSU had from 03 til 07 was not the result of the classes Saban put together I don't know what to tell you.

05 was the worst class from 2000-2014. LSU had 8 commits when Saban left. In less than one Month Les finishes with 15. And if not for RP switching from UT, That class is even shittier. Also saban decide in 2004 it was OK to ignore oline recruiting.

August of 05. Hurricane destroys most fertile recruiting area in the state. 10 years later, still not back to pre Katrina levels.

No, Les did a phenomenal job and in his first 3 years won more with sabans players than saban did. He also won the title with 51% of his roster hailing from out of state.

I'll point this out... RP was the MVP of the 2007 seccg. Les Miles recruit, Les Miles player.

My son has a poster of Les Miles in his room. It is a picture of Les Miles sitting in a lawn chair with a lobster bib on, eating a plate of pork ribs and watching two dogs doin' it.

So, Bert, by a hair.

I'll take Les Miles.

Maybe LSU can't win with that type of offense and defense, but Alabama can.

Career wise Bielema is not a hair on les's arse. Right now les has reached the end and Bielema is in his prime.

I would hate for LSUs coaches prime to be staring at 6-4 with a loss to Toledo on the books.

Les is a better early season coach, Bert gets the Pigs rolling late. Combine the two.

Lert Mielema.

Les averages more than 10 wins a year ....for over 10 years. Birt averages 10 wins .....every three years. Les has never lost a out of conference game in ten years playing a "whose who of ranked teams. Bart has lost to 3 unranked OOC teams in less than 3 years.

Les never had to build a program daddy Saban did that for him, he maintained it so he won't show any poor seasons that come from building a program
Bret has had to build the hog program from the ground up and will have scars on his record to prove it.

Hey idiot, at least do a little research before you start e-babbling and making a fool of yourself.

Les took over an Okie St program that had losing seasons in 9 of the previous 10 years.
Bert took over a team that had 1 losing season and had just won 10 and 11 games before Les sent Bobby over the edge with a humiliating defeat in 2011.

Les made Okie St. respectable again:
2001- 4-7
2002- 8-5
2003- 9-4

Bert is making Arky respectable again:
2013- 3-9
2014- 7-6
2015- 6-4 (if he wins out he can go 9-4)

Bert is a decent coach, but he is not elite in any way.
And you fools are paying him 4.25m and he has 2 wins over LSU and is 0-3 against aTm, 0-2 MSU, 0-3 Bama, 1-2 Auburn and have humiliating losses to Toledo and Texas Tech with the same team that beat LSU.

Let's see, Les Miles has won the natty once and the SEC a few times. Bert is 6-16 or so in the SEC and at least 3 of those he was lucky to get. Can someone fill me in on what I am missing?

Historically better, Les.

Currently better, probably Bert- for sure better the last little bit of the season.

I would definitely take Bert now over the 62 year old Gomer Pyle acting guy.

Gladly.
You can only talk about the two game winning streak over LSU

Please don't talk about his 16-19 total record or his 6-16 SEC record or his 5-12 SEC West record
.
Please don't talk about his 0-3 record with aTm or his 0-2 record with MSU or his 0-3 record with Bama or his 1-2 record with Auburn.

And please please please don't talk about his losses to Toledo and Texas Tech.

I Hope that helps.

Fans usually can't see more than 2 games back anyway. So far every coach in the SEC West has had more success than Bert and Florida and Tennessee both seem destined for greater things than Arkansas.

That's good and all, but why is he not winning at nearly the same clip as he won in 05,06, and 07.

His career seems to mirroring Mark Richts.

The way I feel today, I'd probably take Bert.
