That answers my question. If that's your answer, then you can't place them ahead. All I'm saying is Dak is better than our QB situation at the moment, our OL is much better if healthy, our WR's are much better and much deeper.

I'm not worried as much about our offense.

That's fine and I'm not saying you should be...but that doesn't make them better than ours.

Also, why are you talking about defense in a thread about offense? I know your defense is good. It's why you won so many games last year.

It was just a side point.

LSUs offense will be better than Ole Miss' and their defense will be better than A&Ms.

Explain why.

That shouldn't be very hard, but I expect Texas A&M's to improve while I expect LSU's to worsen.

Are you saying you feel confident that the LSU defense won't take a step back in any metric this year?

improved QB play

You're assuming this

Highly improbable any defense improves in every metric from season to season, bub.

Les Miles is still coaching there. He handicaps the offense, badly.

Kevin Steele < John Chavis and it isn't even close.

sure...why the frick not. although its pretty hard to improve in every metric no matter who the coach is

LSU has had 3 of its top 5 offenses in the last 10 years. guess when Miles was hired (don't believe everything you read on tigerdroppings)

Steele/Orgeron >>> Mr. 2 minute drill and it isn't even close. Chavis made his reputation off the back of his great players....who he didn't even recruit mostly. A&M doesn't have those players

Just wanted to clarify.

I admire a resolve like yours, as hard as steele.

Congratulations. 2009 was one of Auburn's best offenses ever before Gus Malzahn really got going, and it was rather mediocre compared to what has happened lately. Les Miles handicaps offenses and quarterbacks, and there's no arguing that. It's tragic considering the talent that comes across LSU's campus.

My answer was lets judge based off what we have to build on from 2014. State was #2 in total offense in 2014. I don't know if we'll reach that level again this year, but I don't expect a huge drop off given the reasons I stated.

Secondly Ole Miss was #7 in 2014 going into 2015 with an uncertain QB situation and an already questionable run game.

This will all work itself out on the field, but purely based on what I have already seen tempered with slight expectations for what remains to be seen, I have to give State the edge on offense right now. That doesn't have to mean, Ole Miss is the worst offensive unit in the SEC. I simply think they have more to prove.

could not care less and have no idea what this has to do with anything

well if Chavis is heads and shoulders better than Steele than we should see a pretty drastic improvement in A&Ms defense and a drastic drop off at LSU this year right?

because its not going to happen
