Funny how you only talk about sacks yet fail to mention Garrett's plethora of conference forced fumbles.

In 15 league games he forced a fumble in 4 of those.

Not exactly a "plethora" of forced fumbles.

Did y'all even have a defensive end with one conference FF?

We were talking about league stats.
His 1/32 ratio wasn't far off of Bullard who led the league at his position with a 1/27 playing with better talent around him. Marquis Haynes was second at their position with a 1/28 ratio playing next to Robert Nkemdechi.

He has never had a multi-sack game in SEC play

Incorrect. He had two sacks vs SC last year. Only one game but it is what it is.

quote:

In his career he has played in 15 SEC games. In 7 of those games he has not had a sack. In the 8 other games, he only had 1 sack.

So you have to have a sack or multiple TFL every week to be a good DE? That isn't even realistic. In his 2nd and 3rd seasons in the SEC Barkavious Mingo went without a sack in 5 of 8 SEC games. Clowney did the same thing his first and last year and went two games without one his SO year.

Agree to disagree. Carry on.

No, I am correct. You are incorrect, which seems to be a common theme with our conversation in this thread.

Most good DE's put up good numbers against good competition. Regular run of the mill players can put up sack numbers and TFL numbers against weak competition.

Putting up good numbers against good teams is very realistic. Mingo was a solid DE in college and was more known for helping against the run than sacking the QB. Which shows in his numbers as he had games with multiple TFL's.

Clowney was and is overrated and it was known that he took plays off. Using him as an example of a great DE is laughable. He was recruited to Scar on potential and he was drafted on potential, but he takes too many plays off to be considered an elite DE.

When you say "y'all" I assume you are referencing Arkansas...if so, yes, Arkansas had a DE that forced the same amount of fumbles in league play as Myles Garrett. Arkansas also had the leading sack getter in the SEC in SEC games.

Per cfbstats.com and ESPN.com he was credited with two sacks vs SC. Continue being clueless. I doesn't matter to me. The only common thread here is you overvaluing your opinion and liking your own comments.

And according to the end all be all of football statistics he only had 1 sack. Which matches up with the SEC's official stats on the stats page.

Let me know when you're tired of being led around on a leash...

When you say SEC official stats you mean The Official Website of the Southeastern Conference

Let me know how that works out for you.

Dobbs probably had the best game against the dawgs last yr but best player I am going with Calvin Ridley. It was a monsoon in Athens but he was very fluid in his cuts and he was the most explosive WR UGA faced last season, I just hope his little bro is half the WR he is.
