Imagine how good many bands would look if only 1/12th or 1/15th of them actually had to know the steps and everyone else just followed the leader.

Get back to us after your band has done it's first 4 way cross.

First time visitors to Texas A&M are surprised when everyone stays in the stands at halftime to watch the band.

SC's band has improved a lot of the past few years, and we have Auburn to thank for it.

At the 2010 SEC Championship Game we were not only embarrassed on the field, but completely embarrassed pregame. Our band compared to their's was so bad that our school president's wife took charge of completely re-tooling our band to make them more of an "SEC band." The next band director we promoted was involved at LSU for a while so she tried to bring some ideas from them too.

Needless to say, our band is no longer a complete embarrassment and feels like it belongs in the SEC now.

Good for y'all. That is some serious money and I am glad that Bama is investing it to a group of students who are giving their hard work back into your University. Seems like the University needs to move that whole section to a more deserving place. You have more than enough room now lol.

I like Tennessee's band, but it would be better if they played something other than the circle drill for Alabama games. Home or away, it's always the same.

LSU is good too, but it seems like they've stopped bringing the whole band to ttown the last few years.

Yea, they have. They only bring the pep band. Kind of sucks. Ole Miss only brought a pep band last year too.

The only schools that still bring a full band are State, Auburn and Tennessee I think. Arkansas never has.

I was thinking they did in 2012 when they sat up in the upper deck? Maybe not.

On a serious note, A&M's band has the best sound out of all the SEC bands. Their marching is obviously the best too but not that fun lol. I'd say LSU barely edges out Auburn in sound as well, after that it's hard to pick.

I still like Tiger Rag better, even if they took the swing out of it.

I definitely think that more money should be given to funding more away trips to bands. It is a great experience not only for those particular kids, but it adds to a better football game atmosphere as well. I love meeting people from other Universities when they come to Auburn and I like to see what their fan base has to offer especially if it is different than our own. It is a great experience, and the SEC is varied enough to do so.

No shite. Southern and Grambling are probably the top two bands in the country.

Neck and Chinese Bandits are the tits. I use to lovvvveee when LSU came to town as a kid because I thought bowing down to the defense was the coolest thing I'd ever seen fans do at a game.
