Imagine how good many bands would look if only 1/12th or 1/15th of them actually had to know the steps and everyone else just followed the leader.

Nice veiled shot at the Aggie Band. Every member has individual assignments, but please continue to fail.

South Carolina marching band is underrated because it is not one of those traditional SEC bands and doesn't have the exposure. They do a very bad job of putting their shows and pictures online.

They're coming to Memphis in May, along with Gin Blossoms and I'm really excited. Haven't seen either of them in quite some time.

My ranking based on bands ability to pump up crowd, play music that fits the moment of the game, etc.

1) LSU
2-15) everybody else
16) Bama. It's sad, but our band has become a nonentity during the game due to the blasting of pumped in music while they are playing and also because of bad song choice (nothing gets the crowd pumped going into the 4th quarter like a little green day).

Haha. I like A&M's band for what it is, but I am not a huge fan of just seeing drill after drill.

You guys need more soul. Great band though.

Hasn't Bama's band just been given like $1 mil for a new practice field and facility? Thought I read that somewhere. That is insane money for a band. Glad to hear it for those guys if true.

I like LSU's music a lot, and Tennessee and Texas A&M's halftime

The rest in the SEC are all pretty similar, to be honest

And I loved Ole Miss's From Dixie With Love.

I still hate the shitheads that caused us to have to stop playing this. I remember meetings as far back at 98 when there were concerns, but the whole TSWRA shite just killed it.

South Carolina's pre-game was pretty cool from what I remember the last time Auburn went there. It was a Thursday night and your band played the "Thus Sprach Zerathustra" (sp?) song. It brought chills and your stadium was insane. That was a while back though so I am probably wrong on the timeframe.

It was an awesome atmosphere though. I will always remember that since we rarely visit up there.

Nice video. Probably the best band entrance in college football. Exciting, unique and gets your blood pumping.

I thought 3 Doors Down at the LSU-A&M game this year was pretty tight.

Yes they have. They got the new facility this year and a new band hall that should be finished by 2017 I think. Also they do a good job hyping up the crowd. It's just their section in Bryant Denny doesn't face most of the crowd and it's impossible for them to be heard in some areas.
And yeah they're starting to be drowned out by piped in music, but what band isn't these days?

Imo, no sec schools have the best band in their own state. It's a boring throwback to old military traditions.

Southern band is better than LSU, Alabama A&M or State is better than Bama or Auburn. Texas A&M would be better I'd they had less skin flutists.

UT's circle drill is awesome. The problem with UT's band is they play like 3 songs and do the circle drill at pretty much every single halftime show. Gets stale after awhile.

I love our entrance, Running through the T is one of the coolest entrances in CFB IMO. And the circle drill is awesome when used sparingly. But these comments are spot on. Our halftime shows are completely stale and run through. I took up smoking just so I wouldn't have to watch them.

You definitely have a great band. You guys just need to put those instruments down for a minute or two and dance to a sick beat from the drumline. That is all I am saying. Other than that, your actual band sounds great.

Maybe it's because of the rivalry but the only band that has ever really impressed me is the LSU pregame. Good gracious, that's what the emotion of college football feels like.
