Perkins is in the HOF? Dang, they must let anybody in there.

They do, to some extent. But he was in the league for 17 years.

Simmons is smooth, but watching Marquette is the equivalent of taking ipecac, and that's the best team he's played, so let's just chill for a month or three.

offensively for the most part, sans his jumper, but like most freshmen, he is a poor defender.

That Syracuse team had Gerry McNamara and Hakim Warrick. Let's not act like Melo carried a team of scrubs on his back for 35 games

A 17 year old that's 6'10 with Lebron's skillset. 21-20 and 7 tonight.

Yeah, he's ridiculously good. Durant's freshman year at Texas was pretty stellar as well. Think he averaged close to 30.

With that being said, Simmons definitely has a more complete basketball game. Kid is fun to watch. I was really impressed with the white kid from Marquette as well.

Naw, he's actually not "right now", but could be. Last night he was poor.

He needs to take the ball and win that game on the last play.

I agree with what the female commentator said following the game. He made the right decision for the first pass, but once the ball came back to Simmons again, you can't give it up that second time. Just shows he is human. LeBron plays the exact same way. Kid is going to be fun to watch grow.

Nobody has lebrons skill set unless your 260 pounds and just bull people around in addition to having basketball skills

Geez he goes 21-20-7 and they still can't win.

We still have 2 starters out for now, they'll be playing in a few weeks.

Marquette's bigs dominated us inside they have 2 good ones and we only have Simmons inside right now until Victor can play. ER III played some but is coming off an ankle injury last game and barely played.

We were also stone cold from 3 (8 for 27). Simmons should have had a triple double with the passes he made out to those 3 point shooters.

That's physicality, not skill. If you remember, LeBron was relatively skinny when he came into the league. Simmons' body can/likely will develop into a LeBron physique.

James is my favorite player and has been since he was a high school phenom. Not saying Simmons will be better or as good, but the potential is definitely there.

Simmons is 240 pounds, which is probably slightly heavier than when LeBron went to the NBA. LeBron's body transformed after a year or two though.

Ability? Probably.

But please remember that Smith held his minutes down.
