I always look forward to watching this game. Hate that it got moved from rivalry week in favor of the shitty TAMU-LSU series

Hey maybe someday A&M will be good at fball and the LSU-A&M series will be entertaining.

Seriously. If it's really rivalry week, it'd be LSU-Tulane that weekend. At least Tulane would put up a fight and LSU would get a game every other year in NOLA rather than CS.

Maybe Tulane and A&M should play annually. Be a great game. Could be aired on a Thurs night at 9:00 on Fox Sports 1. Right after bowling.

The series has produced some of the most amazing games/finishes I can remember. When it was on Thanksgiving weekend, it offered the added dynamic of watching those games with close family members. The 3OT game in 2009 was the last football game I got to watch with my dad before he passed.

I get that LSU fans don't consider it a rivalry. Arkansas hasn't been able to sustain the program at a level that would make it a rivalry. Regardless, the games are extremely competitive and entertaining.

The A&M-LSU series has been boring at best. I miss our Thanksgiving match up, rivalry or not.

This. The would be best for everyone involved if we went back to LSU-Arky on Thanksgiving weekend every year. The aTm games are a bore.

Entertaining series, to be sure.

This game has meant a ton to Arkansas fans over the years. It has garnered them critical bowl position when they have won, cost them when they have lost.

That's the give. . .

What keeps it from being a real rivalry, is that losing the game has never cost LSU anything consequential. We lost the game in 07, still got the SEC and National Title. I have said for years that that season is what forever destroyed a chance at a rivalry.

For LSU it has been give and no take.

The whole Battle for the Boot thing was created by a former Hawg player, not by any demand for a trophy by the LSU fan base. Bama & Gator games are the two games most LSU fans set their sights on pre season, on & off, the Aubbie game. Doesn't mean there have not been great games, but it is no rivalry from the LSU perspective, sorry.

If LSU played Arkansas every year before Alabama, we wouldn't even be talking about any potential for a rivalry. LSU goes flat usually after the BAMA game.

But yeah, the whole trophy concept was created by Arkansas. LSU has no natural history with Arkansas, they started playing in the mid 90s. LSU vs A&M is more of a rivalry game from the fans standpoint.

Ark-LSU is such a rivalry that LSU fans make shite up about it to convince themselves it's not a rivalry.

One of my favorite games I've been to, lots of NFL talent all over the field. I was shocked at how loud WMS was at times. Tailgating on the golf course was fun as well

This gets me every time

I don't think Arkansas and LSU are rivals, but it's pathetic that y'all blame it on this

Someone needs to tell A&M they got it backwards: you put girls on the sidelines to cheer and men on the field, not the other way around. At least I assume it's girls they have on the field..they're pretty much all prima donnas, charmin soft, and a little bitchy.

At least Arkansas made it a good game. I kinda miss that on the last weekend.

You Arkansas fans can look at it as a big time rivalry, but to LSU is just another SEC game. It's not Bama/Auburn/Florida. Try winning an SEC Title or a National Championship. Then we can talk.

i don't think it's a big rival either. i don't hate lsu and don't think i ever could but i do laugh my arse off at lsu fans that try the 'superior' act and use the bama excuse for their losses. you're basically just saying your players and coaches are a bunch of pussies who can't handle putting together a whole season because big bad bama breaks your wittle hearts and souls.

So you're saying that LSU would lose to any SEC team they played after Bama? Perhaps you should stop playing Bama then....
