The Arkansas game has never really interested me while I was at LSU. (03-08)

The game was more of a Thanksgiving annoyance than a Rival game.

Sure there is a trophy but I dont think most LSU fans get excited about the Arkansas game.

I understand completely. Both LSU and Bama compete for championships. Do you understand?

That's not what makes a rivalry game. Geographic locations and how they play each other is more of what makes a rivalry. So if you're blowing out a team and vice versanyear after year, it's no rivalry.

Don't lie section 225, arkansas has made you cry... And you weren't crying!!!! Just annoyed, right? "we're better than them" said section 225, "we just kinda struggle against them every year is all@ he continued.

You're arguing with some random Auburn fan that is posting in a thread about Arkansas-LSU. No matter what you say, you're not going to change his mind. He's in this thread to troll and that's it. Most likely those type of posters think it's funny but in reality it's just clutter. You just have to skip over it and have discussions with the folks that actually want to talk football. You'll start to see the difference after you've been here for a bit.

People not in a top 5 rivalry, telling people in a top 5 rivalry, what a top 5 rivalry is about. Kind of sums up the piggie mindset. Always starting threads trying to convince themselves they're not as mediocre as everyone thinks.

It has been a good series over that period, but hardly a top 5 rivalry.

Arky's being ranked only 3 out of the last 10 years in a late season game isn't "plenty" by even the most relaxed standards of most fan bases. The game doesn't have the national interest to be anywhere near "top 5" when considering:

Bama-Auburn
Bama-lsu
Usc-ND
tOSU-UM
Tejas-OU
Fsu-UF, FSU-MIAMI (turning into fsu vs. Clemson)
Georgia-UF
Usc-ucla
Oregon-oregon st
Byu-utah
Army-Navy
Bama-ut
Um-Sparty
Ole miss - msu

"Bama-lsu - nope"

Stopped reading.

Might want to check the TV ratings. Outside of a couple of the smaller yet more well known in state rivalries mentioned, I'd be surprised if Arky-LSU had higher avg TV viewer rating over the last decade than those mentioned.

Yea I'll get right on checking those tv ratings for all those games the past ten years.

By that logic, I'm sure "the voice" season finale is a great rivalry.

It's a great game, I haven't recently been excited for it but after 2 embarrassing losses in a row I want LSU to kick their arse. So I guess it's growing on me.

Everyone here in Alabama looks forward to this game, please. It's the current Game of the Year in the SEC.

Well, it certainly has more on the line than the "boot" usually does.

But, I do like the game. Bert and Les are a great pairing. Good, tough football game for sure.
