Interesting Stat. Don't really know what it means, but:

Total plate appearances/ at bats
1. LSU. 577 / 510
...
14. A&M. 431 / 361

A&M and LSH are night and day in thise categories. How does that affe t the other stats. Serious question.

WTF? so losses and stats matter? I'm not sure what would matter other than teams winning.

Then put the team with the least wins at #1. Except they don't do that for any sport.

Look, believe it or not in rankings, some people try to be objective and give a prediction of what they think are the best teams.

Go for it if you think the least about of L's means a team is better.

Like people have pointed out, Baseball NC teams have lost ALOT! lol

I have seem teams mow through a season only to lose when it mattered because of glaring pitching issues or hitting issues, etc.

A&M almost never plays the 9th inning at home. I can only think of two times it happened this year. A&M had a rainout vs UK. I don't know if LSU has cancelled any games. A&M has played very few extra inning games. LSU has racked up some free baseball. Those are probably the biggest differences in ABs.

So many fewer ABs would effect totals, not percentages.

would also effect the error bars around those numbers.

Teams with more totals will have tighter error bars around the averages and percentages.

Clearly they do not understand the concept of the rally caps, etc.

What? The more you win games the higher up you will be in the rankings. Obviously the competition accounts for that but that's all I'm saying. Wins mean everything, nothing else. You can't argue that.
