And then of course this is out there. If that's for basketball, imagine what is being offered for football.

WTF? Show some contrition and a semblance of compliance when you are under the NCAA microscope for years on end.

This is where I come in and say we already knew this, it was in the first letter, and it has already been taken into account regarding our self-imposed penalties. So don't get too worked up about it fellas, it's nothing and we can go ahead and anchor this thread.

I really don't think Ole Miss gets hit hard by NCAA.
Ole Miss should have never let Tunsil play last year and I think damage would have been even less.

If -- or when, I guess -- the sanctions come down, that will improve things for OM. The NCAA likes shows of good faith even when the shows are clearly pragmatic attempts to curry leniency. All programs under investigation know this.

I doubt very seriously any LSU boosters would have wanted to give Simmons a Bentley, Rolls Royce, etc. One because he wasn't playing all that well and two because LSU doesn't give a rat's arse about basketball. Agents hoping to represent him in the upcoming draft are a different story, though. I'm sure he was offered all kinds of stuff by those guys.

There's some other interesting info from the ole miss 247 board.

Leo Lewis ratted Barney out during the immunity interviews. We placed him on leave until he meets with the NCAA next week. MSU heavily encouraged Leo to talk about Barney.

He has been placed on administrative leave. That is confirmed. We'll see what happens from here. Barney has been a vital part of Ole Miss' recruiting success since he arrived with Freeze in December of 2011. Knows Mississippi better than most anyone. It's hard to candy coat this move as a "preventative measure." There have been many on the Ole Miss campus who have been interviewed by the NCAA without this step taking place, so... I hope things work out for him, as he is an outstanding person and great guy. I'll pass along what I can when I can on developments.

2 rumors I've seen:
The red and blue rumor that Leo Lewis fingered Farrar
The maroon rumor that the 2nd NOA has already landed in Oxford and OM is trying to crawfish from a radioactive Farrar.
I'd lmao if he was actually suspended for something like getting tanked and prank-calling Chavis Saturday night
