Clemson -6 1/2 or -7 come August 3.

So we will have to wait 357 days?

Carlton is legit, but the rest of the secondary is a tad suspect

What? We ended the year by holding Memphis (RD1 QB Paxton Lynch), Alabama, UGA and TAMU all under 200 yards passing w/ only Alabama having comp percentage 61+%

We finally are healthy and only lost 1 starter. Not saying we are some dominant DB unit, but we aren't suspect

Well it didn't work. Watson worked our defense over. He is legit.

I watched some Clemson games and that easily was his best performance. I don't think game 1 with some new OL in a hostile environment he can be quite that level.

If Auburn is going to have a chance though, it isn't by shutting Clemson down, more like some opportune turnovers and RZ FGs instead of TDs a la Bama v AU 2014

Saban beat Clemson with his special teams. Period. End of story.

Hey, I know you guys have a chance. Your defense should be better even with Steele. I won't be rooting for you but a win would be great for the conference.

It took everything Alabama had, including whatever trick plays we were holding back all season, to beat Clemson, and even with that we barely pulled it off. We hardly slowed Watson down. Clemson will be a team on a mission with a chance in their first game to redeem themselves against a middling SEC team. Auburn will be lucky to keep it within three scores.

Bama didn't put crap on Watson.
He nearly single handedly won that game. Without him and with a mediocre QB, Bama wins that game by 30.

No they beat them by scoring 45 points.

Watson single handedly kept them in that game, running out of trouble. Just about any other QB around out there and Alabama wipes the floor with them.

I do think Clemson won't be as good on defense, and to have a chance you will have to score points, and a lot of them.

All you can do is spy him, do all you can to keep him in the pocket and hope you can cover. That and Gallman can hurt you too. But I would do all I could to try and make someone else have to step up and beat me.

Watson through for over 400. Is that putting him in a box?

I am looking for Feaster to get the ball more than Gallman.

Saban beat Clemson because Clemson didn't have a deep enough defense. Clemsons defense had their asses dragging the ground by the 4th quarter.

That's not true. Bama did not contain Watson at all. Bama won with 2 outstanding special teams plays and because Clemson refused to even attempt to cover our TE.

You would be wrong. Gallman is a stud. He had a pretty good game against Bama as well

Go to bed...

Bama tried to contain him and he still made plays at times.

If clemson is in any condition near what they were in the ncg...Auburn is toast.
