You know next to nothing about the situation.

I suggest you read some more Nutt propoganda.

The "high school" comment was directed by Reggie Herring, D-coordinator, towards the guy who is now Auburn's OC. It had nothing to do with Mitch Mustain.

BTW, a grown man calling someone "high school" indicates immaturity by the namecaller, not the person being called that name.

@Pankreb:

You care enough to break down my post.

Mustain called Nutt a "dork" when he was a senior in high school.

Nutt couldn't let that go.

Ergo, we have a 40-something year old man conspiring to humiliate an 18 year old kid he is supposed to be mentoring.

Is Mitch the only 5 Star QB not to start at USC? Hell probably every QB USC has recruited lately has been a "5 Star" QB. Have they wasted their talent as well since they aren't starting?

No, the coaches called Gus Malzahn "high school."

See, you don't even know what you are talking about, which is the common theme with people that hate Mustain and Gus.

Did you realize that he was quoted numerous times (and had told the coaches) that he wanted to red shirt his freshman year?

And please, please post one quote from him that shows immaturity. It should be pretty easy.

quote:

Lazy - can barely pass enough classes at USC to stay on the team this summer.

You do realize that USC is a top 25 school right? The fact that a college kid made some bad grades says NOTHING to his work ethic.

But, since you are such an expert, I guess you wouldn't know that before every game at Arkansas Mustain was out 30 minutes before everybody else getting extra throws in. Or that it was common for him to stay after practice and get extra throws in.

Again, you know nothing about the situation, but choose to hate the kid because you assume your idol Nutt could do no wrong.

quote:

Waste of Talent - 5 star QB in high school with plenty of physical tools.

So? He went to USC...where more than one 5 star has sat on the bench.

You claim he's a whiny bitch because he transferred, but then state he's a waste of talent because he transferred to USC where the best players in the world play.

You're playing a tails-I win, Heads-you lose game, and it's stupid.

quote:

I'm not saying I know everything about Mustain and his situation and I'm not exonerating Nutt.

That's exactly what you are doing.

I love the assumption by Rebs that somehow pointing out the obvious mental disorder of their current head coach makes them believe you are a Mustain lover.

For the record, I have never met Mitch Mustain. I have never been to a Springdale High sporting even. I don't know anybody who knows Mitch Mustain, nor do I know anybody who has even met Mitch Mustain personally.

I have met Nutt, and I can say without a doubt, the guy is a douchebag of the highest order.

Do you even know how, why, and the context in which this was said?

Bottom line is this:

Nutt's family and friends (and likely his own) actions are indefensible.

Mustain transferring is completely understandable.

The fact that he even wound up at USC proves he doesn't suck.

Our own AD tried to cover up, and mostly did, all the shite that the fanbase saw for themselves. There was no easy way to explain away all the shite that went on, so the line was taken "the fans are unreasonable", so thats what the national media got and ran with.

Houston Nutt is trash.

Frank Broyles was at Arkansas for 49 years. You know why he didn't get a 50th year? Because he hitched himself to the USS Nutt, and went down with the ship. Thats it.

The guy is poison, and I am thrilled he is no longer at Arkansas.

I reserve the right to call a spade a spade, and I hope he fails at everything he does.

Maybe unclassy is not the correct word. Momma going to the UA and bitching about her boy not playing was something else.

WTF? You didn't give us any quote.

I wasn't trying to quote him. I was saying I am giving it to you that he had not made any unclassy remarks about the situation that occured.

I don't really want to argue with you fellow hog fans. It was just requested that someone dispute the previous post and I gave my attempt.

I do not like Nutt or Mustain or about anyone that was involved in that whole escepade. It was sheer stupidity ON Nutt's part and egotistical in Mustains. And that is just IMHO

I'd rather hear the story from someone who isn't a hawgtard and tries to flame Nutt every chance they get.

If King, FootballHawg, SLC, or maybe even Sugar wants to comment on Mitch "Jesus" Mustain, I'm willing to listen. They rest of you pigs are too biased again HDN to rationalize the situation.

Frank Broyles himself said that he never once discussed playing time with her.

It's amazing to me that hog fans can't know this stuff.

but wait a sec....didn't you say that Broyles attached himself to the USS Nutt? But that automatically makes everything he says false, right?

No parents ever met with Nutt.

The only person Nutt talked to about playing time was Casey Dick's dad. He was on the phone with him nearly every week.

Please tell me, in which games did Mitch Mustain actually do something which made you think "he definitely won that one for us."

FACT: In five of his eight starts, he passed for fewer than 100 yards.

Jarrett frickin' Lee would have been 8-0 in those games at Arkansas. Book it.

I believe Houston Dale Nutt, Diana Nutt, and Teresa Prewett were the central figures who orchestrated the blitz of lies and nonsense surrounding Mustain. IMO, it backfired on them.

Mustain made the choices that resulted in his present situation, however he perceives it.
