The last 3 new QBs we broke in all won the SEC in the first year as starter (except AJ but he avenged himself in the title game and won another title the next year.). So I'd say we're doing just fine.

The goal for the coach/team is titles and wins. IF you are asking why they are not developed for the NFL, you should word you OP in a more clear manner.

Reasons for bammers success under Saban:

1. Luck

2. Weak schedule

3. Defense

4. Running game

5. Offensive line

6. Wide receivers

I think most people would disagree when it comes to developing a qb entering the NFL..

Only took a few minutes and you're already back peddling. Perhaps starting another thread about NFL development is in order.

Why are y'all having such a problem developing these highly recruited qbs? Most people thought after Kiffin was hired that the QB situation would be upgraded.. Obviously with the rumors of miller possibly transferring there must be something missing.. Is it the system that Saban runs or were the Qbs overrated coming out of high school?

I don't see back peddling...what else would OP be talking about? When you say your school develops X position, it means you develop them into NFL talent

I'm not back peddling.. Your qbs arent being developed... You have five qbs and still bringing in transfers.. Why do you need to bring in transfers with that many talented qbs on the bench?

Since 2008 Bama has out scored Auburn 263-141.
QBs doing a pretty good job.

Bama took a RB/S and turned him into conference winning QB who put up 55pts on your team. The guy before that was a heisman finalist.

The current front runner did a lot better than that QB did in their respective spring games.

Seems like Bama is doing just fine at QB, personally.

McElroy - SEC Championship as a starter, SECCG MVP, BCS championship as a starter, broke Alabama's single season passing record

McCarron - Heisman runner up, Maxwell Award Winner, Johnny Unitas award winner, 2x Second team All-SEC, 2x BCS winner as starter, BCSCG offensive MVP, SEC championship as a starter, broke most Alabama passing records, including McElroy's single season passing record

Sims - Second team All-SEC, SEC Championship as a starter, SECCG MVP, broke McCarron's single season passing yard record

Alabama's QB development has been fine thus far.

Tell me how many QBs Gus has put in the league, if that is what you are talking about. Because your first premise was a complete failure.

We're talking about QBs, not DBs.
