Me personally I'm not here to flame.

It may have been fun at the very beginning of my forum experience just to see if it's worth getting into.. now, I'd rather lay back and post only what's worth talking about. Hard sometimes because people get off topic SO fast here. But the trick is to come up with a topic that is good enough to NOT derail because the topic itself keeps picking up new people with a quick opinion, or it keeps people around violently discussing the topic.

with that, i'm off y'all. gotta hit the sack. i know it ain't bad for some of you, but 7:00 comes early to me since it's hard to shut my damn brain down early.

had fun tonight.

I love coming here for the opinions of different fanbases. There's nothing wrong with some back and forth.

I read you loud and clear.

I just think its ironic that Bama fans have circled the wagons on defending their defense for getting absolutly destroyed for almost 700 yards of offense because they played a really awesome Qb who runs a spread option HUNH offense.

Yet, in 2011, when LSU won rather comfortably by several scores over WV,but gave up just over 500 yards of offense to a similar type of offense and a very athletic, very talented QB (who is now a starter in the NFL no less) we were told all year by their fans we couldn't possibly be a good defense and their was no excuse for that performance.

I don't think the scenarios are exactly alike. Bama just played the GOAT and held him under 1000 yards, which nobody else will do. Bama really does probably have a top 5 defense at worst.

I think is not realistic to think they will be top 10 by the end of the year.

I don't think they suck, but they have problems in the secondary. Top 20 (with their schedule) isn't bad, they can still win the NC.

This defense will be really good. Anyone who watched the game could see that JM placed the ball perfectly into his receivers' hands. No other qb in the league (maybe Aaron Murray on a good day) has the ability to do that when he is running for his life. Plus, the offense will help the D out by chewing up yardage while the D watched from the sidelines.

Maybe not top 5 in stats, but I can't imagine any team not wanting to trade defenses with Bama. I think Florida might be better, and LSU's is comparable, but other than that who would you rather have if you had to switch.

False. Compare Alabama and Georgia's defenses last season. Alabama faced a better Manziel than Florida or LSU and on-fire Mettenberger. Georgia faced Connor Shaw and Jeff Driskel, yet Alabama's defense was better. Do you see the flaws in your logic?
