So, we have less than 10 people saying they'll go on record and say we won't have a top 10 defense?
So far, that's about what I expected EVEN AFTER this mid-week flurry of imposters saying how bad Bama's D is.

Apparently they are just a little better than Texas A&Ms and not nearly as good as Va tech?

I know you were talking to the other guy, but both teams had some bad momentum changing flags. For sure. And the way THAT game went, momentum means a score for the other guy if it changes against you
It would have been a 1 TD game instead of a 3 TD game at that point. Pretty blatant call to miss..
It's really just a shame that after all the terrible officiating we have seen.. we still have terrible refs like Ritter leading a crew.

Remember last year when mediocre Zach Mettenberger carved up your defense?
Congrats on the 17 points LSU put up.
Zach Mettenberger: Carving up defenses between the 20s since 2012.

Absolutely. Not that I could do any better. But crazy eyes himself doesn't do a great job.

Many times stats is about the competition a team faces. Bama and LSU has top-10 talent on defense obviously, but even top-10 talent won't rank nationally in the top-10 because of a tough schedule when other schools play shittier competition. Now if we look at Top-10 defenses against BCS competition, you can start to have a legitimate discussion..
Holding Alabama or Georgia to 14-17 is way more fricking impressive than holding West Carolina to 3 IMO.
Where are the PAC 12, Big 12, Big 10, and Big East's elite defenses? There aren't many great teams in any of those leagues, but there are plenty of talented ones.

Florida has the best defense in the country this year. Do you agree, windsock?

I haven't watched them. Idk, really. I've heard a lot of hype around them here on the board, tho. Seems believable at least. You still think our D won't be top 10?

LSU has a freshman cornerback better than any corner on your roster.
Kwon Alexander
Oregon would rape Alabama in any of the last four seasons.
I don't give a crap about your first claim if the unit as a whole is worse. What is the relevance of Kwon Alexander? Your last claim is a joke. Oregon has proven that they can't move the ball versus teams with good rushing defenses like 2010 Auburn, 2011 LSU, and 2012 Stanford. Stopping the run is Alabama's strength. Occasionally, Alabama's defense is good enough to stop anything.

Fair warning... you just swatted a wasp nest. I'd run while you still can if you want to keep on talking about Bama's D being top 10.

They would this year. Offense is as good as A&M and actually have a defense
Based on what? Oregon and Texas A&M don't even run the same offense. Oregon's 2 best teams recently (2010 and 2012) both lost a game to a quality rushing defense. What makes you think they'd run all over Alabama?

I have never said that.
I will go on the record and say that your defense is flawed. Few teams can expose it, but Oregon would boat race you.
I like LSUs chances to move the ball against anyone. Tcu starts two corners that will be highly drafted and we burned them.
There is a visible weakness to your defense that hasn't been there for the last 3-4 years.

Simply put, if Bama gives up loads of yards to good teams, and stuffs shitty teams, I don't give two shits what your D is ranked. It sucks as of now.
fricking blows.
Sorry.

I think the definition of a good defense is changing with so many teams running wide open. Solid D's will give up more points than in the past.
I, for one, am a fan of hit you in the mouth for 4 quarters football with the offensive and defensive philosophies meshing together.
When all is said and done, Bama's D will be top 10 for sure.

That's not really much to have to be accountable to at the end of the year UNLESS we play Oregon.
Btw, Auburn's 2010 defense can play with Oregon, then our D should be able to.

Simply put, you haven't gone on the record because you know we'll have a top 10 D. Thanks for playing, though.

You seem like a smart fellow. I agree with all of what you said. But, in all fairness, we are likely the hit you in the mouth type of D. Not quite built at the moment for super fast paced spread stuff.

you play 3 ranked teams all season, your D will be highly ranked
