FWIW, the rest of the country pretty much hates the SEC as a whole. Just because you carried the torch and won the 6th straight BCSNG for the conference doesn't mean you have a monopoly on this hatred.
They would've hated LSU just as bad.
They hated Auburn just as bad last year.
They hated you just as bad two years ago.
They hated Florida three years ago.
And so on...

So now sets in the realization of how winning a FB game actually does little to change the average lowly gumps life. The gump realizes this and tries to ignore the empty feeling so some come to message board to brag because, afterall, their life is still as shitty as it was on Jan 8th. So sad.

I work with many people from around the country, mainly from the NE, and they don't really care about Alabama football one way or the other. Alabama football isn't on everyone's mind all the time. Just wanted to let you know.
Now they do dislike the SEC in general with it being full of hood rats who can't read.

The writer is correct that other fans beside Auburn and UT hate Alabama, but he is wrong about why folks hate Alabama. If it was only about winning folks would hate other programs also, in fact everyone normally loves a winner. IMHO, the reason others hate Alabama is HOW Alabama wins, they perceive Alabama as red-neck, rammer jammer screaming, tea bagging, tree killing, arrogant, cheating, win at all cost program.

I don't think that's entirely accurate. Bama is hated by its SEC rivals in part because of our fanbase and our general arrogance. The closer you are to Tuscaloosa as a fan of a different team, the more you hate Alabama.
The rest of the country doesn't encounter our arrogance and toothlessness on a daily basis. Where does their hatred come from?
Harvey and sir nutdgragger aren't the reason.

I could give many examples, but much of the reason bama fans claim all the false titles, and act the way they do is rooted in insecurity.
As for the rest of the country, trust me, they do not care much about you on way or the other. There is not a single person in my entire office that cares one way or the other about UAT. Hell, I only know a couple of people in my office that even watched the Bama/LSU game and only 1 even commented on it. He said the game sucked in passing in the hall and that was the extent of it (Notre Dame alum).
