What I am saying is if they are ones making them then they are the ones that need to be aware of it. You can't go and change these around after they have been set for a while. Like everyone here knows they schedules have been set for a few years now. Why all of a sudden is this just now an issue? This should have been handled a while back.

I'm playing a fun game called "try and figure out what pankRebs point is" it's a fun game but I'm still stumped. What does Bama v UT playing the 3rd Saturday of October (what's that? they don't always play on the 3rd Saturday) and OM and LSU not playing Halloween weekend have to do with anything, who knows?

We weren't made aware of our respective team's affiliation until about 2 years after we became friends.

teams are moving OOC games just to get a off week before us, not much the SEC can do about that.

but I'm glad you agree it should be addressed

But I was told the SEC Office makes the schedules. So yes they can do something about it.

Alabama’s final six SEC opponents during the 2010 season are scheduled to have bye weeks prior to facing the Crimson Tide.

Those six teams are South Carolina, Ole Miss, Tennessee, LSU, Mississippi State and Auburn.

Funny how LSU fans point to the bad call in the Bama game, but ignore the calls in their favor during the UGA game while constructing these whiny arse conspiracy theories.

Started out with my talking about the Halloween game.

Gump said no one cared about the LSU/OM game.

I merely pointed out that, for the most part, people care as much about the Gump/Mt. Gump game not much more than other SEC matchups.

Then Gumps reply that the Gump/Mt. Gump game is a huge national relevance game.

I provided a retort, Gumps provided a retard......world keeps on spinning.

It is my understanding that the league schedule is set, and the teams choose their bye by scheduling 4 OOC games in 5 open slots.

SEC teams move OOC games as to not have one before they play Bama, not so sure whats hard to understand about that.

Only in Gumpland. Everyone, including the guys calling the freaking game got a good laugh out of how bad that call was.

LSUdm21 - Hey Swampgump, I was talking to a reb about UT/Bama, not about the one play where Patrick Peterson didn't have cramps. Try and keep up.

They don't MOVE OOC games. They just schedule them accordingly.

Some teams may purposely have the bye before the Bama game. But some might not have a choice. Don't forget, that OOC opponent still has to agreed on a date.

It should've been handled a while back, you're right. But since the SEC didn't handle it, we brought attention to the subject. I don't really see how it makes any difference when this became an issue.

Its not like having a bye or playing some Sun Belt or 1-AA school is any different. The problem is that the SEC continues to leave the possibility for either for the majority of teams before they play Alabama. Like I said earlier, Alabama for the third straight year is having to play 5 SEC games in five weeks. They don't have the option of playin some weak OOC game or having a bye before those games. However, the SEC did not schedule a conference game for 6 teams the weak before they play Alabama, giving them the option for a bye.

This year, 4 of the 5 SEC WEST teams have a bye week before playing Bama. Tennessee and South Carolina from the SEC East also have open dates. The only 2 out of the 8 SEC teams to not have a bye week before Bama is Florida and Arkansas.

9/4 SAN JOSE STATE
9/11 PENN STATE
9/18 at Duke
9/25 at Arkansas
10/2 FLORIDA
10/9 at South Carolina ---- BYE BEFORE BAMA
10/16 OLE MISS ---- BYE BEFORE BAMA
10/23 at Tennessee ---- BYE BEFORE BAMA
11/6 at LSU ---- BYE BEFORE BAMA
11/13 MISSISSIPPI STATE ---- BYE BEFORE BAMA
11/20 GEORGIA STATE
11/26 AUBURN ---- BYE BEFORE BAMA
