I chose a sample group consisting of OM, LSU, MSU, Arky, and UGA fans. Pretty good sampling of people IYAM.

That happens to involve the two schools that have been more relevant historically than all the schools that you named combined.

ok? I fail to see why games from the 50's,60's, etc. make me want to watch a game this year.

So far, only Bama fans have disagreed with me in this thread. I don't blame you for your stance on the topic, but you have to admit that you guys have an obvious biased.

And that's why I made the comment of...

And Bama fans telling me otherwise won't convince me

Ehh it was quicker just to ask.

While I think it is messed up for bama to be playing that many after a bye week, I also think is messed up for the SEC office to stick their nose in and tell the other teams how to make their schedules.

Really, its the SEC office that makes the schedule. They make out the conference schedule for each team, and there's been a pattern leaving this many open weeks for teams to take advantage of. For instance, Alabama plays five straight SEC games in five weeks for the third straight year in 2010. They don't have an opportunity to have a bye before any of those games because the SEC scheduled another SEC game for them. Alabama's only options for a bye week (and its been this way the past few years) are in week 1,2,3,9, or 12. Logically, Alabama always chooses week 9.

I agree, it is funny that Alabama is the only team to ever have a bad call go there way...

Boo freaking hoo! Look at how many teams we play after a bye

LSu has not played 6 sec conf opp after their bye week. LSu had bye week or a no name game before they played Bama last year. This has been discussed plenty of times. Maybe if Bama hadnt beaten all of you the last two yrs you wouldnt feel the need to complain when a competitive advantage was removed from you. Considering an LSu fan started a thread to whine about Bama whining is rather ironic.

Since 2007 LSU has played 5 teams after a bye week, and that's the second most. Alabama plays 6 this year alone. If some people can't see the issue with that, then we should probably just stop arguing with them.

If the SEC office is the one doing the schedules then shouldn't they have realized this when they were making them?

Yea that's why Mal Moore brought attention to it. Are you going to start telling me that the SEC doesn't make out each school's SEC schedule now?

Only in Gumpland. Everyone, including the guys calling the freaking game got a good laugh out of how bad that call was.

FWIW, we didn't lose the game on one call. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that Jarrett Lee would not have led the offense down the field that day.
