It's not over my head. You are trying to make a comparison that isn't valid.

In the history of college football he may have the record for greatest disparity in respective talent between two players, when one (intentionally? Probably not but worth asking) hurt the other.

So that's elite.

Dorsey didn't intentionally fall down to draw a flag so this is really apples and oranges

Didn't know you could intentionally hurt someone on a hold. Learn something new I guess.

I just think he's an overrated blowhard.

Didn't read all the way through this flamefest of a thread, but I have noticed on several occasions that you gumps continually refer to him as "overrated". The kid owns the LSU record in forced fumbles as a sophomore, but I guess that doesn't qualify him as a playmaker. He also led the BEST defense in the nation in tackles this season. And yes, LSU's defense is better than Bama's, not by a huge margin but it is better. Get your head out of your arse and compare the offenses that the two teams have played and deal with it. Have a nice day

How about LSU fans just agree to think he's totally awesome at everything, and I, and whoever agrees with me, can continue to think he's a good nickle back who isn't great in coverage? Fair enough?

You can think what you want but to just think he is just a "good Nickleback who isn't great in coverage" makes you look ignorant to all that he does on the field. He is a true playmaker and there haven't been many like him.

I think you are entitled to your opinion but I have no idea what you base this on. What specifically leads you to that conclusion. He's been great, rarely gets beat, and is always around the ball. What other skills outside of size would you like him to have?

To say he isn't great because he has been beaten once by someone of Justin Hunter's caliber or Joe Adams is silly and unrealistic. Hell no one thinks Barron can't play just because Randle lit him on fire last year. Players get beat. Mathieu doesn't get beat much.

I just want to know where that opinion comes from. You may well have some metric I don't know about. I doubt it, but I'm willing to be wrong.

So I guess now is not the time to tell them they'll be playing "Moves Like Badger" repeatedly in the Dome before kickoff.....?

Fair enough Teague, and it's obvious that you just don't like the kid so admit it.

He only had 2 interceptions, 6 forced fumbles (2 he returned for TD's), 7 passes broken up, 26 punt returns for 420yds(the 420 did make me giggle), oh and 2 of those 26 were for TD's. I see how you think he's an overrated player. He'll be a Junior next year so you better hope he doesn't develop into a REAL playmaker
