LSU played 14 games while Bama played 13. Bama rushed for more yrds per game. LSU also had a dual threat QB and got positive yrds from the option which had very little to do with LSU Oline opening holes.

Alex Hurst is still right tackle,Collins is still at guard and might come off the bench if Miles favors Josh D.

Cyrus, Fluker, Warmack, and Barret are not rivaled in talent by any team. LSU isn't near as athletic on the oline.

Reminds me of a big ten Oline big, but not very athletic.

No I don't need to rethink. LSU outrushed you. Stats against div2 teams don't count. Sorry. You're wrong

Fluker has done nothing to warrant being called great. LSU outrushed Bama before the seccg. Div 2 gas don't count. LSU's oline is just as good as Bama's.

"Athleticism" is only a desirable trait in an O-lineman if the blocking scheme you run calls for it.

Yours does. You zone block a lot more than we do.

LSU's doesn't really. It's a straight up man-to-man blocking scheme about 90% of the time.

Different, not better.

But I'm sure you'll continue to trumpet your stance that an SEC all-star team couldn't beat 2012 Bama. It's pretty entertaining.

You want to see the "most athletic" O-line in the country? Watch FSU sometime. They're "more athletic" than you and most teams.

Also wen if I was counting the extra game, excuse LSU for winning Bama's division and conference. The normal thing recently is for LSU to beat Bama and you act like its not. You know shite about football boy

It really wouldn't even take that. Give LSU's defense to Arkansas, or give Arkansas' offense to LSU (yuck) and Alabama gets blown out of the fricking water.

Point me in the direction of two guys similar to those two in the country over the last decade. Both were physical freaks.

Once in a lifetime might be stretching it . . but they don't come along every year, or maybe every decade.

Both were arguable the best--or one of the best--to ever play their respective positions at UA.

I may not live to see another quite like either at UA, but I would think somewhere else.

Athleticism comes into play in pass pro and LSU Oline is very suspect in obvious passing situations. When they stay ahead of the chains the play action slows down the rush, but on 3 rd and 5+ were they can't play action they were exposed. Hurst is awful also and the fact Collins hasn't taken his spot and is still stuck at Guard let's me know he was overrated out if high school.

I know a lot of you are hoping for a similar showing in 2012, but these teams and the circumstances are night and day.

The inexperience on defense was well over blown. The injuries to the absolute best players and the weakest Oline Pendry produced were the main reason for 3 loses.

julio Jones, Marcel Dareus, Upshaw, Fluker, Ingram, Richardson, Barret Jones, Barron, all missed multiple games with injuries. Thats an all sec team missing games and playing through injuries.

On top of 75% of of the SEC schedule having a bye week before the Bama game. 6 out 8 was ridiculous. Especially when you run a 3-4 and most of your pressure comes from confusing the offense. That extra week was key for the Ole Ball Coach and USCe.

No team on the Nation will line up with the top of offensive line talent Bama and experience will this season. 13-0

Damn fine post and absolutely true.

Warmack is highly considered to be the best OG in the upcoming draft. If you think Collins is better you're a fricking homer.

Wow. You're mad.

Dude, the link was to the NCAA stat sheet so, I'm not the one that was wrong. Alabama played in one less game, ran the ball 508 times for 2788 yards 34 TDs with a 5.49 carry average, and 214.46 game average.

Compared to LSU who played in one more game, 591 carries, 2836 yards, 35 TDs with a carry average of 4.8, game average of 202.57.

Discrepancies:
Games +1 LSU
Carries +83 LSU
Net Yards +48 LSU
TDs +1 LSU
Carry Average: +.69 Alabama
Game Average: +11.89 Alabama

Yeah, really flew past Bama on that running game.
