I hate to agree with the OP, considering the ridiculous stances he takes, but the bye week stuff was out of hand. Over a five year span Alabama faced 20 teams off bye weeks. The next highest total was LSU with 7, or something along those lines.

On top of 75% of of the SEC schedule having a bye week before the Bama game. 6 out 8 was ridiculous. Especially when you run a 3-4 and most of your pressure comes from confusing the offense. That extra week was key for the Ole Ball Coach and USCe.
this is so true. the playoffs are about the 3rd change they have tried now to prevent bama from winning it all

Yeah Julio sat out if games. He sat out of the Ole miss game after one series and might have sat out another game also. Dareus, Upshaw, and Barret Jones were the killers though. Pass rush was horrible all year and left a green secondary exposed.

It's the offense stupid. Julio was one of the best perimeter blockers I've ever seen. He didn't put up AJ numbers but if he was in the UGA offense those years he would've been ridiculous.

Are you and TideGolfer the same guy? Seriously, you 2 are making the 2012 club look worse than we already do.

So what you're saying is...Bama fans are STILL coming up with excuses for 2010 in 2012?

Over the last decade I could find 10+ guys from the University of Houston that put up better numbers that Julio so that obviously means they are better receivers right? It doesn't have anything to do with the system they played in does it?

You're an idiot.

Go back to the 2010 bye weeks, look at the teams you played and the teams bama had the week before it wasnt as bad as some of your brethren make it out to be

Being an Alabama fan, do you believe Auburn will get a player like Cam Newton say within the next 2 or 3 seasons?

Cam Newton is much closer to once in a lifetime than Julio.
