As a micromanager, Gus has reached the pinnacle of his success last season at Auburn

I don't think gus is a micromanager at all... certainly not on the level of Saban. GM lets Johnson and his defensive coaches handle that side of the ball.

It's no different, IMO, than any other HC who calls the offense.... like a david shaw at Stanford or a chip kelly when he was at Oregon.

Auburn beats LSU.
LSU beats 'Bama.
'Bama beats Auburn.

Highest ranked makes it to SECCG.

AU will probably be ahead of LSU to start and will remain so after the win.

Alabama will likely be ahead of LSU, but will drop below after the loss.

Auburn will be ahead of both until the loss to Alabama.

Auburn would have the last loss with LSU having the earliest loss.

Final rankings will have LSU>Bama>Auburn

This is just pre-season prognosticating based on all 3 teams being very good and homefield advantage. Obviously, if LSU and Alabama suck at QB, then AU should have an open door to the Championship.

Nope. Team gonna be PISSED this year.

Means jack shite. In fact, it can be a detriment because you're pissed about something that's in the past. It shifts your focus away from what it should be, which is the next game. This is the primary reason for the hangover.

and almost errbody back.
Yeah, almost, except for a Heisman finalist RB and an OT who will probably go in the first round. Other than that, no key losses, aimirite?

we're losing less talent than our main competition in the SECW... including a starting QB... should be fun...

Look-I'm not flaming-and I respect Auburn football-and you do have stability at the most important position-but--You guys have not solved LSU yet. This series has not been close since Les got here, he has your number and the reason has to do with LSU's offense being WAY more PHYSICAL than your defense. On top of that, throw in the fact that Bama is going to be Fever Pitch against you as is Georgia and you aren't sneaking up on anybody, and I'm thinking you lose 3/4 games and come back to Earth a bit.

Not a flame, just keeping it real. Bama and LSU will have their issues as well so who knows...

This. Last year means all of jack squat. LSU rarely walks out of JHS with a win.

You've obviously only formed an opinion based on message boards rumors.

I'll give you a hint - which coach holds a clip board and over sees play calls during a game and which coach walks up and down the sidelines allowing his coaches to coach.

I remember how Auburn turned on Gene, I am certain when I say - Gus is next. I'd bet on it.

just let the "this isn't a flame at all..." guy go... he's an idiot.

Nick Saban is the biggest micromanager in football... i think he might even admit to it. it works for him and his teams.

Auburn won a lot of close games, 3 by luck & refs.

Shyt team will be shyt.

That's because winning solves everything, Big G started losing. Gus is winning, at the moment. Once he stops doing that, then the fans will turn on him.

Last time in JHS, you guy squeaked out a win against the worst Auburn team in 20 years.

This year in BR, Auburn made every LSU fan I know sweat a little in the second half. We started too slow, if we would have had another quarter, I think we would have pulled it out. If we would have played you later in the year, I feel like we'd have beaten you. We didn't define our offense until 2nd half in BR. That's when we got our identity.

To think LSU is something Auburn hasn't "solved" is dumb. We haven't beaten you in a while, but you're not some great mystery.

ETA-

I'd like to think we'd be the team to beat this year, but it takes more than just great players and a great coach to win (reference bama this year). Focus and team chemistry are needed, who knows if we can replicate it again this year.
