Maybe, but every few years they live up to the hype. That is why some are nervous.

Aubie needs to improve their run D. We put 230 on them last year fairly easily
I don't know about their other games, but Alabama got 26 first downs to their 7, and 501 yards against that AUsome defense.

The most knowledgeable Auburn fan here just posted that he was unproven
Just because Bama has owned you your whole life doesn't mean you constantly have to cry out that you are an abuse victim

Stats from the year before mean nothing. Remember when AU put 630 yards on the "Best Defense since 92" ?

As a Mississippi State you're opening yourself up to a lot with that statement.

What is the series record since the Bear retired ? He must be 10 years old, if your statement is true.

And you whine about me being a troll and a bad poster?
At least we didn't run away from the other instate school to another conference ...

Do what? When was the 2014 defense ever compared to 1992? That's either 2011 or 2016.

I was responding to the A&M fan that noted Auburn's defense wasn't really all that last year, as evidenced by the fact that A&M ran for 230 yards against them.
If stats from the year before don't mean anything, I'm not sure why you guys are counting so hard on the transfer QB. Not only are his stats from the year before, but from a conference that isn't known for great defenses these days.
It's a quandary.

I started a thread for legit discussion about your team
Keeping dummyJackson from dragging it down has been too much darn work

I have a few thoughts about Jarrett Stidham to Auburn.
1) he's in a offense than can put up big numbers
2) he's surrounded by a very talented group of receivers and running backs
3) he hasn't been ruined by Gus Malzahn yet
4) he showed promise as a true freshman is some "big" games
5) he seems to have all the tools needed to be successful
6) he was coaches by Art Briles, who happens to develop good quarterbacks
7) the media is hyping him up more than Auburn staff/supporters

Have no issue with any of that
Stidham is without a doubt extremely promising
all I said was that he's not proven

Tell me more about this talent filled group of receivers

JS has the tools. very good arm. but unless he's gained some weight, he's as frail as a #2 pencil. He wont last the entire season.

No one in their right mind thought Alabama's defense in 2014 was comparable to the previous Alabama defenses. But keep making up shite.
