Thats why this game is so fascinating. au for sure is done for as far as the SEC if they lose and LSU will be walking the plank. Its such a must win for each program.

AU is done as far as SEC whether they win this game or not.

I only root for the New England Patriots, Alabama football and Duke basketball.

I probably should've phrased that differently

Sound like Stephen Hawking wouldn't have worked either.

Is LSU not equally desperate, miles loses one more and he could be gone at the end of the year.

I think LSU will break it off in Auburn personally. Auburn's offense is horrible and they celebrated like the Cubs winning the world series's when they beat Arkansas State.

They had to have a reason to roll the Toomer's Trees.

Not true. Les is 8-3 vs auburn but no matter how good we are we always struggle at JHS

So true. It's a tough place to play no matter how good you are.

That is exactly what I've been alluding to all day! Expect both teams to deviate from their normal tendencies and go unpredictable and balls-to-the-wall in this game. They're playing for their football lives!

I'd think that LSU would rebound quicker than Auburn, but it's still gonna set y'all back 1 or 2 years, imo.

What has set us back already is keeping Miles for too long. What would set us back a minimum of one additional year is Les Miles returning as head coach next season. No scenario that ends his tenure would set us back. Of course, we'd be willing to be set back another year and keep Miles if he wins out, but obviously that's not going to happen.

We're kind of in a situation where we can't fully win and we can't fully lose. If we have a great season, great, but we have to keep him another year. If we have a bad season, it sucks, but we get to send him packing this year. Neither option is ideal, but neither is completely bad either. FWIW, every LSU fan I know, including me, wants to have a great season this year no matter what. The best of all possible worlds would be having a great season, then Miles rides off into the sunset as a winner and we get to find someone else. Everybody's happy and we get to move on as we need to.

Oh God please nobody tell Les Miles that. It didn't work out so well when he was supposedly "coaching for his life" last season at Ole Miss.
