I don't know about Auburn, but if LSU loses this game, chances are we get back to being good sooner than expected. No way Les Miles survives the season without winning this game. We're pretty well stocked with talent and should sign another good class this year even with a coaching change. If we make a good hire, it shouldn't take too long to be in good shape.

The fact we are worried about AU shows how weak we are, if we win this game or lose it that reality will remain.

This is the mentality that had lead the bashing of LSU fans. LSU should always be worried about Auburn. Auburn has been more relevant this past 4 years than LSU and has a more recent SEC CG appearance and win.
LSU is not a superior program than AU. At least not enough to look down on Au and consider them an auto win.
