Seems you don't lack for confidence, that's for sure... You may look like hawking, but I doubt you think like him. At least you didn't deny fricking your mother...

No, not really.

Physics certainly is not my thing, so you are correct on that one.

Auburn has been more relevant this past 4 years than LSU and has a more recent SEC CG appearance and win.

yea going winless in the sec is so relevant

that was in 2012. so it fits your timeframe

Well, 2013 they won the SECW, SECG and went to the BCSCG. I'd consider that relevancy, they are the last team not named Alabama to win the SEC.

When was LSUs last league championship?

This is two bad teams with two bad coaches and whichever one can manage to be less bad Saturday will win. Sadly, that's pretty much all this game is.

They are only good when they get Cam or do you forget all the breaks that went their way in 2013. It was comical.

Wouldn't that mean they'd tank the game then, in order to get Gus fired and get a new coach?

Thats why this game is so fascinating. au for sure is done for as far as the SEC if they lose and LSU will be walking the plank. Its such a must win for each program.

I think it means they come out swinging to start the game.

But if LSU gets up early on them, they could panic.

If its close late in the 3rd quarter, then it;s anyone's guess...

Not really, it was a very solid running team with a very underrated QB.

I would be feeling much more confident about this weekend if Auburn hadn't lost 7 home games in a row. A tiger backed in to a corner is dangerous and they will be playing with a sense of desperation.

An Auburn fan in my office pointed out that Auburn almost always beats LSU at home if they have a decent team. If they lose to LSU, typically it means they are going to have a very bad year.

So I looked up the numbers, and sure enough it appears to be the case:

2014- Auburn (8-5) finished #22. Beat LSU 41-7
2012- Auburn (3-9) finished unranked. Lost to LSU 10-12
2010- Auburn (14-10) finished #1. Beat LSU 24-17
2008- Auburn (5-7) finished unranked. Lost to LSU 21-26
2006- Auburn (11-2) finished #9. Beat LSU 7-3
2004- Auburn (13-0) finished #2. Beat LSU 10-9
2002- Auburn (9-4) finished #14. Beat LSU 31-7
2000- Auburn (9-4) finished #18. Beat LSU 34-17

Since 2000, the Auburn-LSU game in Jordan-Hare has been fairly consistent:

*If Auburn wins, Auburn has a pretty good year. They average winning 10.7 games in those seasons. They have finish the season ranked every season sine 2000 after beating LSU at home, with an average final ranking of #11.

*If Auburn loses, Auburn has a terrible year. The two times LSU has won in Jordan-Hare since 2000 were against Auburn teams that finished 3-9 and 5-7.

The last time LSU beat a decent team in Auburn was back in 1996. That Auburn team went 8-4 and finished #24.

Of course the Auburn-LSU series in Baton Rouge is pretty easy to analyze: LSU always wins... at least since 2000. It's pretty amazing that in the last 16 meetings between these two teams, the road team has won just twice.
