Everything, the Malzahn offense can't communicate the hurry up very well with the noise in Tiger Stadium. Not a good situation while breaking in a new QB. Hell even the SEC champion Auburn team from 2013 couldn't get it done in Baton Rouge. Ronnie Brown & Cadillac Williams couldn't overcome it. That's the most relevant point there is. Every time Auburn is a favorite in BR, nobody puts that point into consideration.

If we are undefeated up to this game, I think we pull out the win.

QB issues at LSU are being a bit overblown. Aside from rough match ups with Bama and Florida, Etling was more than serviceable in an offense that demanded perfection from the QB (mostly deep routes that were telegraphed from a mile away with our predictable play calling). This year he's healthy and in a system that plays to our strength.

Less predicatable offense also means defenses can't stack the box and make Guice beat the odds every down (which he did fairly well many times last season anyway).

Defensively, I expect us to be every bit as explosive and suffocating as last season, and there is no way we will lose a game to nothing but a leg this time.

Not as ugly an arse whipping as '15, but I think we pull out a win. The home streak continues.

So again, with this type of thought, you dont think LSU will beat bama for a while...

Bama ain't playing here this year, but Auburn is. A home game gives us a chance against anybody. Y'all better wear some shirts like this walking into the stadium to gain some confidence

I don't believe this at all.

But it should be a close game. I'll say LSU by 3.

I think LSU wins. It's at LSU if I'm not mistaken, and were it not for the ref's homecooking at Auburn last yr, LSU would have beaten them there.

I think LSU's co-ordinators will be better than Auburn's. I expect Auburn's defense will regress with Steele. Muschamp was good for that defense but the longer he's gone, the more they'll miss him. LSU's defense, in any event, is better.

Bottom line, LSU has more talent than Auburn.

the noise in Tiger Stadium

Is overhyped by LSU fans. Your stadium is loud. Your crowd is raucous. Your team is good. All that said, other SEC stadiums are equally as tough and Baton Rogue is not where "opponents dreams come to die" like you all want to believe.

Your current SRs are 16-5 at home (pretty impressive, actually), but 7 of those wins come against Sam Houston State, La Monroe, New Mexico State, Western Kentucky, Eastern Michigan, Jacksonville State, and So Miss. Your losses come against Miss State, Florida, Bama, Florida, Bama, and Arky.

Is AU more like SHSU, La Mo, New Mexico State, or more like Miss State, Arky, Florida, and Bama?

Example? I didn't realize there was an officiating controversy. I know you aren't talking about the last play

I didn't see Auburn in any of those losses. Why don't you rattle off Bama's non-conference wins while you're at it. Look, I'd feel completely different if we were playing in the Plains, but we're not. I like our chances.

You must have never witnessed that noise in person.

Guice seems to be a pretty good RB

Ummm...I don't know WTF your definition of pretty good is--

"Hayes asked one NFL talent evaluator about Guice’s pro future, and his response was glowing.

“The way (Guice) runs, my guess is half or more (of teams in the league) would take him over Fournette right now,” an anonymous AFC scout told Hayes.

NFL evaluation

In 234 attempts, he's averaged 7.8 yards per carry

To put this in perspective, the leading ALL-TIME ypc in the history of SEC football is 7.66 yards (with a minimum of 300 carries).

Bo Jackson averaged 6.22.

Eddie Lacy averaged 6.77 yards with Alabama's offensive line. almost never getting touched until he was 4 yards down the field.

Reggie Bush's was 7.32.

Guice's head coaches during this period were Miles and Yaw Yaw.

Pretty good.

Now you're getting the point. We think of Auburn about like we think of Moo St. in Tiger Stadium, 2-13 in BR the past 30 years. Auburn isn't much better at 3-10.

Bama is 22-1 at home during that same stretch (11-0 non conference and 11-1 against SEC). I wasn't making the conversation about non-conference wins though. I was saying that 1/2 of your team's home victories the last 3 years come from also rans.

In SEC games at home LSU is a very meh 9-5 the last three years (while Bama is 11-1). AU is an SEC opponent and you are very average at home when playing SEC teams (64% winning percentage).

I've seen Auburn lose, with the better team, in Tiger Stadium many times.
Only time I can recall is the Earthquake game in '88.

But since you said "many times", can you point out another instance where AU brought the "better" team to Red Stick and lost?

LSU is 4-9 in Jordan-Hare over that same stretch.

See, now your starting to get my point. This game is not in Jordan Hare.

Since '88 vs AU, LSU is 14-13 with 10 wins coming inside TIGER STADIUM. There seems to be a trend here.

The Ronnie Brown/Cadillac Williams/Jacobs RB trio team was a pretty big favorite. The 2001 Auburn team was a game ahead in the standings and had to win in Tiger Stadium to go to Atlanta. Auburn choked with a good team in 2005 and we were dogs at home.
