The Plains Eagles must have had the wind taken out of their sails. Haven't heard any noise on this topic in a while. I guess they finally noticed they were an underdog in BR this year for a reason.

Nobody is scared of LSU's dump of a stadium or a bunch of drunk coonasses in the crowd.
The only difference in TS vs other top schools are the people between the 30 yd lines in the expensive seats are just as drunk as the folks at the top. Oh and the place is empty at halftime if LSU is losing.
Been there done that. As the the Gump said....very overhyped.

See, now your starting to get my point. This game is not in Jordan Hare

It was a follow up to my previous post. Namely, the venue isn't as important as the relative quality of the two teams.

The better team almost always wins. Recently, the home team has been the better team.

Give it up Freep. LSU fans think Tiger stadium is magic. Delusion at its extreme.

Dont know how anybody can say whether Auburn is better or worse at QB than anyone else. Who is starting for them? Is Stidham more JJ or Cam? Who knows. I hope JJ. Frick Auburn.

Both have great RBs, but they dont play RB vs RB. As the Bama fans have astutely pointed out (who woulda thunk it - frick Bama), LSU OL vs Aub DL should concern you. But DG is awesome, so he may pull ya through. Etling isn't great, but doesnt put you in a lot of bad spots. Plus he has a lot of weapons around him.
Both teams have a ton of talent, I'm not sold on either coach. I expect it to be a typical Barn/LSU game. Tough, and close. In the end, its in BR so your cheating refs will help LSU pull out a close win (frick LSU).

Our tiger stadium always has and always will be perceived as a better place to attend a football game. So quit acting like your stadium and fans are so much classier. And how many college football fans outside the state of Alabama have JHs on their bucket list? One things for sure Baton Rouge and TS are on plenty. So enjoy watching us beat the piss out of your war damn beagles in TS this year. We won't need an extra second.

The Ronnie Brown/Cadillac Williams/Jacobs RB trio team was a pretty big favorite.
LSU was #9, AU was #17 after having dropped completely out of the top 25 following a loss to GA Tech in Week 2. Pretty sure LSU was favored in that one, as they should have been.

quote:

The 2001 Auburn team was a game ahead in the standings and had to win in Tiger Stadium to go to Atlanta.
Following a stunning upset at home against #1 Florida, AU had been crushed on the road by Arky, beat UGa thanks to poor clock management by Richt, and had been humilated by a shitty Bama team at Jordan-Hare. They had been ranked no higher than #17 and were unranked most of the year, as they were coming into the game against #21 LSU, who also needed a win to go to Atlanta.
quote:

Auburn choked with a good team in 2005 and we were dogs at home.
AU was pretty good in '05, but again we came in ranked lower (#16) than LSU (#7). If anything LSU was probably favored due to HFA.

Here's the only game you missed: 1995. An unranked LSU squad upset #5 AU thanks in part to the "phantom whistle" in the endzone.

So there's at least one time LSU beat a superior AU squad in Tiger Stadium. Congrats

LSU has had a lot of crap QBs recently and yet Auburn hasn't won a game in Death Valley since Smash Mouth was popular.

QB still has to run up and down the line and try to make a call. Hard to make checks

We most likely would've won 2005 and 2007 there was really no excuse for losing either we stood toe to toe with yall the entire night yall just wanted it more . if not for the pass interference call being waved off yall most likely would've won in 06 as well
