More worried about replacing the running back, TBH.

We have senior Jovon Robinson, sophomore scatback Kerryon Johnson, and true freshman (and injured) Malik Miller. Kam Pettway and Chandler Cox will likely be getting some carries in 2016 and straying away from h-back.

Sucks if true, our basically down to Jovon and Kerryon. Roc is crazy athletic but also a guy that you are cringing until he's on the ground and the whistle blows. One of the more agile and quick guys I've seen but never learned to keep the ball tucked.

Didnt Jacksonville State take Auburn to OT
Strangely enough, a Roc Thomas fumble towards the end of the 4th quarter almost ended that game. He fumbled as Auburn was driving inside the 20 yard line with less than 3-4 minutes left. That's the picture I posted in my OP.

Jeff Lee.

You know that Jeff Lee is phan, right?

Regardless, I'm surprised by this. I really liked Roc's skills.

As early as today, per the SECRant's favorite Jeff Lee.

Roughly, it states a source close to Jacksonville State says the rumor is true, and absolutely expects Roc Thomas to be a Jax State Gamecock.

Me too. Fumbles aside, he's a good player.

I'm not doubting Jeff Lee, I'm just wondering if this rumor has any more legs than the Eli Jenkins transfers to AU rumor had?

There was a lot that had to happen for Eli Jenkins to get to Auburn. The SEC doesn't allow transfers with a history DV charges, and he is still awaiting trial. Also, it was rumored Auburn was going after him, but I don't remember reading/hearing it was a sure thing.

The Roc Thomas news seems like a sure thing.

Auburn's fricked either way.

I felt that Auburn's running backs were shockingly average by SEC standards last year.

Peyton Barber definitely was. Jovon Robinson didn't get many touches til the second half of the season, but he's one of he better backs in the SEC

Jovon Robinson is the most talented Auburn running back since the days of Carnell Williams and Ronnie Brown. I think he's better than Kenny Irons, Mike Dyer, Tre Mason, Cam Artis-Payne and Ben Tate. Sadly, he's about to play another season in a mediocre offense surrounded by little talent. His stats won't indicate how good he really is.

So far id say he's comparable to Mike Dyer. He'll certainly have a better OL than Dyer had in 2011

Because Malzahn offenses never have good running backs.
