Peyton Barber definitely was. Jovon Robinson didn't get many touches til the second half of the season, but he's one of he better backs in the SEC

Yep. Exactly the player who led me to this perception. Dude just did nothing exceptionally well. A classic "JAG"

Anyway, I'll keep an eye on Robinson. Was kind of weird to see Auburn have no firepower in its backfield.

I remember when Auburn posters said Roc Thomas/Jovon Robinson would be a much better duo than VOLS Jalen Hurd/Alvin Kamara

I'd like to go laugh at that. Mind pointing me to that direction?

He should have followed his dream to play at Alabama and let Saban develop him into a talented RB that would be drafted. He got suckered by a high school snake oil salesman.

I have found the thread but I'm not sure if it would be wise on my part to link it.

He didn't get an offer from Bama. That year we had Henry, Tenpenny, Kamara waiting in the wings..... and we were swinging for the fences trying to flip Fournette.

Yes he did. Alabama just chased Fournette too long, because of all the connections Burton Burns had to him.

Roc said this about Bama just less than a month before he signed with Auburn. Seemed like common knowledge that Bama turned on the heat at the end. Many barners worried about Yeldon 2.0 happening to us. Anyhow, Cajun didn't care about the accuracy of the offer

Thomas said he also continues to stay in close communication with the Crimson Tide.
"They're recruiting me pretty hard," he said. "I try to contact them like two days a week every week."

You already know

I like you TTsTowel and that's partly why I don't want to link that. Your message board brand would take a mighty big hit lol

Um...I'm not sure if that is 100% accurate.

My hometown is Oxford, AL. While I have not lived in that city since 2008, I still have friends who do. When Thomas was a senior in high school, Saban put a full court press on him. He and his entourage made a big show as they drove down Highway 78 to meet with Thomas and his family for an in-home visit.

It sucks that we struck out on Trae Elston, Kwon Alexander, and Roc Thomas. Those are three of the most talented players to ever come out of Oxford and Alabama didn't get a single one of them.

It's common for "good" players to transfer from an SEC school to Div II school?
