About like Bama losing to about every really good team they've played for awhile now.

Me either, but that was supposedly one of the things he and Lashlee disagreed over.
It won't be easy for Gus to just "turn off' his offensive opinions and allow Lindsey to take full control.

Gus has trust issues, and he's felt some heat and pressure from the AU brass the last couple of years. He knows he has to get it right this year, so the ultimate decision making will fall on his shoulders. I have a feeling he's going to want to see with his own eyes what Lindsey/Stidham can do in the SEC, and that might take 5-6 games to get a true picture.

A very big year is when the Bammers shite all over themselves worrying more about AU then their own team. The Six Straight by TT, 2010 and 2013 were big years.

I want to see Stidham against a real defense not the flag football league

He'll get baptized early @ Clemson in game two this year. Hostile environment going up against a damn good D.

Gus to just "turn off' his offensive opinions

Why would you want Gus to "turn off" his offensive opinions? He's the same guy that had arkie at a level not seen in two decades in '06, set records in '07 and '08. Worked a smoke and mirrors miracle in '09. '10 speaks for itself. '11 pre-chiz interference was impressive considering the signal caller. '13 and '14 on O were also pretty strong.

I love having CL with his passing background and QB development history, but why would anyone not want Gus involved? He's accomplished more offensively than any other coach in the SEC in his short time in coaching.

Finebaum knows what he is doing, he's always been pretty good at setting up the dominoes.
He either looks like he was right, or, even better for him, he looks wrong and gets to act shocked about how bad Auburn is compared to expectations. He doesn't know shite about what Auburn will do, but he knows how to set up reactions from his listeners.

If i'm remembering correctly even cam needed a miracle drop by a clemson wide receiver in ot to get the win.

Schedule auburn early and aggie late to win a bunch of games.

Uk may be scheduled at your convenience

So at the core, it's all about the Bama game for y'all/you?

Come on now Irons, Auburn sits at 3-7 vs LSU & Bama and 2-8 vs UGA in the last decade with 2 of your program's greatest years mixed in.

Gus has to get it right this year, the Family was restless at the end of the '14 season (bowl loss), irritated beyond belief at the end of '15 (B'ham Bowl), and relatively apathetic at the end of '16 (bowl loss.)

Gus needs to make strides this season, and show he's not lost in the wilderness on the sidelines.

No, but the bama fans rage is a good indicator.

Clemson QB overthrew WR, it wasn't a drop.

Because his offense has become predictable and borderline comical the last couple of years? Not to mention unproductive and weak in SEC match-ups since mid-season 2014.

But I digress, if y'all are good with him then that's all that counts. I mean no disrespect towards your HC. Maybe he just has to find a way to get the mojo, smoke 'n mirrors, "Auburn Fast" offense back.

You know what I'm talking about. Like the Cam stuff in 2010 and the illegal pass in 2013. Bammers heads exploding.

Auburn can realistically be a great team every year. They have the athletes. But they always mess it up. That usually comes down to either their QB or coaching. Auburn is great when luck is on their side (see 2013), or when they have an it factor player like that guy in 2010.

I love it when Little Six starts giving their Auburn critiques.

If they beat Clemson, they could have a big year. Finebaum, however, is an idiot.

He's like most head coaches...he struggles when he doesn't have the pieces in place to run his schemes. He needs a better than average QB to be above average. That isn't rocket science, but all the non-sense about predictable play calling, etc...anyone with a half decent football mind can predict most play calling. Coaches who get hundreds of hours of tendencies, etc...are even better at it. When you have the players to execute anyway you look good, when not with Auburn's talent you win 8 games.

Gotta go back and check, but seems like he hit the receiver in the hands, maybe slightly low and was dropped. Maybe the end of regulation or ot?
