It is well known that when a university simply reflects the attitudes of its football fans it is no longer a university in the true meaning of the word. Football has stalled the University of Alabama’s transformation into a modern university with intellectual, aesthetic or humanistic concerns.

Interesting, seems to pump out some very talented alumni who enter the world and do great things. Seems to rank pretty highly amongst it's peer state universities. Seems to attract a large number of kids and their parents from outside of the "backward white population" of the state.

Hopefully one day we can make this great transformation.

quote:

For instance the University of Alabama administration allows white-only sororities to continue their policy of banning African-American females from membership. Ironic that most of the precocious Bama “student athletes” are African-American but their daughters and sisters can be excluded from university sororities.

They actually don't. Most sororities (if not all of them by now) on campus have multiple African-American members (Hispanic and other minority groups, too), as well as member from around the country and world.

Thanks for your concern, though.

I know posters grab team icons here and all TD forums for teams they have no or little associtation. Still, its ironic that this fellow posting under the guise of Stanford is lecturing anyone on perception or morals in light of the disturbing rape incident and aftermath.

It's almost like it is a computer program that just drops that post in 1 time a month along with 3-4 other random Updyke/Saban/racists posts a year.

Can't say I've ever seen that before on here.

Pretty obsessive to look that far back into someone's history. He must have hit a sore spot with you.

I was reading some Bulldawg history and they mentioned that Bama, UT, GT and UGA all refused to play there until UGA did in 1960. Is there any certain reason why? TIA

because they were all a bunch of whiney scared cocksuckers who liked to talk big from behind their mama's skirt... much like touchdown tony.

Aubie brass will tell you the game want played because of the per diem or some other bullshite. No, we just were the team in the state and saw no value in playing. Similar to LSU playing Tulane or Ole Sis playing southern miss.

According to information gleaned from CFB data warehouse, Auburn was 7-4-1 against bama prior to the series being suspended.

It sounds like they were "the team in the state" and you guys were Vanderbilt.

Auburn didn't have a designated "safe space".

Google it. This inbred has posted it in Rivals forums for Auburn, Clemson, LSU, and Wisconsin, as well.

ETA - You've found ITAT Puppet's alter.

The Cult doesn't like to be called out for being wrong. If their team is winning, then nobody should challenge them for being dumbasses.

Football has changed a lot. There was a time when MSU was playing more road games and on top of that had to travel to Jackson, MS 155 miles away as a "Home" game. Life isn't always fair but until the 1990's did we even begin to expand our stadium.
